The rain in Spain didn't stop Penelope Cruz from hitting the set of The Counselor today. The actress took shelter under an umbrella as she headed to set with a smile, before the weather cleared up just in time for a wardrobe change. The film's cast includes A-listers Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Michael Fassbender, and even Penelope's husband, Javier Bardem. Earlier this week, a spiky-haired Javier shot scenes with Cameron, who was sporting a fake neck tattoo.

Penelope got to work on her latest role after promoting Twice Born at the San Sebastián Film Festival on Tuesday. Penelope wore a red Versace gown to the event, and earlier in the day was seen greeting fans and signing autographs on her way to a photocall for the film.

Cameron Diaz slipped into a sexy dress and high heels to film scenes for The Counselor opposite Javier Bardem today in Alicante, Spain. She changed into another printed number during her latest day on set. Cameron's fake neck tattoo was once again on display after she revealed the artwork for the cameras in London earlier this month. While in the UK, she found time to dine with Javier and his wife, Penelope Cruz, who is also currently in Spain. Today, Penelope made an appearance at the San Sebastian Film Festival to promote her latest project, Twice Born.

Michael Fassbender strolled onto the London set of The Counselor on Monday with a toothpick hanging out of his mouth. He strutted around in character, while nearby, his costar Javier Bardem tried to keep cool with the aid of a handheld fan. The project has a few of Hollywood's hottest stars making interesting physical transformations. For his part, Javier's sporting spiked hair and glasses, while Cameron Diaz modeled fake neck tattoos and Brad Pitt dressed as a cowboy. Javier's real-life leading lady, Penélope Cruz, also stars in the film, though she's been on the road in recent weeks promoting her forthcoming Twice Born.

Cameron Diaz got into character on the London set of The Counselor Wednesday. She wore a printed gown and sported a fake neck tattoo for the role. Cameron's working on the project after celebrating her 40th birthday on the East Coast last week. The movie's cast features plenty of other famous faces, including Brad Pitt, who filmed his part last month. Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz are also in the film, and they got away from the set to meet up with Cameron for dinner last night. Penelope, Javier, and Cameron stopped by 34 Restaurant in Mayfair together before Cameron continued her night out at La Bodega Negra.

Brad Pitt was back on the set of The Counselor in London today, sporting a sexy, slicked-back ponytail. He showed off the hairstyle after wearing a cowboy hat for filming earlier this week. Brad's putting in a few days' work on the Ridley Scott-directed movie, which also stars Michael Fassbender. We'll have to wait until next year to see Brad's work in this feature on the big screen, but we already have a glimpse at his next project, which hits theaters in October: the trailer for Killing Them Softly came out this week with a look at Brad's very serious role.

It's an exciting weekend for Brad and the rest of the Jolie-Pitt family, since Maddox is turning 11 tomorrow! Maddox's birthday has been fun in years past, with a variety of celebrations. Last year, the whole crew saw a performance of Wicked in England, and in 2010 he had a go-karting party.

Soon, they'll be joined by their leading ladies Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz. It seems Michael and Ridley hit it off after making Prometheus together. Ridley and Brad also have a filmmaking connection — Ridley directed Brad back in 1991's Thelma & Louise.

Brad Pitt got into character with a cowboy hat and facial hair for The Counselor in London this week. He started work yesterday on the Ridley Scott-directed film, which he'll apparently only shoot for a few days. The drama is based on a screenplay by author Cormac McCarthy and follows a lawyer as he gets into the drug business. Michael Fassbender joined Brad in front of the cameras today. Also reportedly lined up for the project are Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, and Javier Bardem.

Brad's on set in the UK, where he and Angelina Jolie have been staying as a family since Angelina began filming Maleficent in June. She's been in full costume and has had visits from her kids in between takes. Brad, meanwhile, traveled to Germany and also met up with pal George Clooney in the UK during his downtime.
