She Did It For Vogue: Karlie Kloss Explains Her Short New Haircut

When Karlie Kloss turned up backstage at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last month with a much shorter haircut, she told us that she did it for "a job."

When Karlie Kloss turned up backstage at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last month with a much shorter haircut, she told us that she did it for "a job."

This week, Vogue published a story about a newly trendy haircut known simply as the chop, which in recent months has been adopted by everyone from Arizona Muse to Olivier Theyskens. Kloss's cut was administered by the mononymous New York stylist Garren in Patrick Demarchelier's photo studio, and the magazine chronicled the model's transformation from long-haired and lovely to short-haired and almost gamine.

"I love it. I can't stop touching it . . . it makes me feel more daring," Kloss said afterward, adding that having shorter locks "actually takes the focus off your hair and puts the focus on you. I'm starting to realize that it's all about confidence."

The only drawback to the new 'do? "It's winter, and I happen to have this very long neck," Kloss noted. "I may need to invest in some really warm scarves."

Ruby Jean Wilson, the 18-year-old model who opened and closed Marc Jacobs's Spring 2013 show, stars in the collection's ad campaign — and a first look just made its way online. Juergen Teller shot the ads, in which Wilson preserved the Edie Sedgwick look she adopted for the show.

Jacobs's campaign is among the first of what will undoubtedly be many campaigns for the Scottish-born beauty, who started modeling in 2009 and made her runway debut in Lacoste's Spring 2011 show. Since then she's appeared in editorials for Teen Vogue, Dazed & Confused, Oyster, and Wonderland, among others. Wilson also starred in the Fall 2012 campaign for the Australian brand Jac + Jack.

A first look at Wilson's Marc Jacobs campaign — and some of her past work — here in the gallery.

Victoria's Secret Angels Try and Fail (Adorably) to "Deck the Halls"

Things move along swimmingly for the first 30 seconds of this video, in which Victoria's Secret Angels sing the classic holiday carol "Deck the Halls" — but after that, it's a different story altogether.

Things move along swimmingly for the first 30 seconds of this video, in which Victoria's Secret Angels sing the classic holiday carol "Deck the Halls" — but after that, it's a different story altogether.

The video features Candice Swanepoel, Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Lindsay Ellingson, and Erin Heatherton decorating a Christmas tree, setting out presents, and trimming a room with bows and garlands — tasks apparently easier than remembering the words to the song. "Deck the halls of boughs of honey," Kroes sings, realizing the mistake before laughing and saying, "Let's deck it with honey!"

"We don't sing this Down Under," Kerr says of her inability to remember all the words. "We sing 'Santa Baby.'"

Whatever the case for their struggle, it's hard not to give the Angels an A for effort. See why in the video below.

Bruce Weber

Watch: Bruce Weber Films Kate Upton For Vogue Germany

The editors at Vogue Germany must have a thing for Americana.

The editors at Vogue Germany must have a thing for Americana. Their latest fashion film, It Had to Be You, was directed by Bruce Weber — who's been writing new editions of the photo book All-American every year for the last 12 years — and stars blond, blue-eyed Kate Upton.

In the film, which takes its name from a Frank Sinatra song, Upton puts on (and takes off) garments from Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, and other designers, while male models Aaron O'Connell, Matthew Vande Vegte, Tim Easton, and Casey Levens compete for her attention. Every element of the video — from the country-club-like setting to the jodhpurs and riding boots Upton dons for the horseback-riding scene — is drenched in classic preppy style. A look at Weber's film below.

Here's the First Episode of Jourdan Dunn's Internet Cooking Show

"You can tell good food when someone's cooked it with love," Jourdan Dunn says emphatically during the first episode of her online cooking show, Well Dunn.

"You can tell good food when someone's cooked it with love," Jourdan Dunn says emphatically during the first episode of her online cooking show, Well Dunn. The 22-year-old model prepared jerk pork with rice and beans and Caribbean salsa, peppering in advice about cooking and tales from her life and work — like being photographed for Vogue Italia's 2008 black issue.

"I was just super duper nervous, but working with [Steven Meisel] totally put me at ease," she says. "And then I was finished and he came up and said 'Thank you, you're done' and I was like 'Really, I'm done?' And then I saw Iman walk in and I was like, 'Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, I'm just going to stay and watch all the supermodels come by.'"

A look at Dunn's culinary skill in the video below.

Fall in Love With Cara Delevingne's Roller Skating Christmas Advent Video

Put Cara Delevingne in front of a low-res camcorder in a Santa hat and a pair of roller skates, and you've got the recipe for one endlessly entertaining holiday video.

Put Cara Delevingne in front of a low-res camcorder in a Santa hat and a pair of roller skates, and you've got the recipe for one endlessly entertaining holiday video. For the first of this year's Advent series, Love Magazine enlisted the younger Delevingne sister to glide back and forth dancing and making funny faces for almost two minutes. She even blows the camera a kiss while The Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping" blares in the background. Since then, Loulou Robert, Dree Hemingway, and Lily Aldridge have also made videos — and there are still 21 days of these short clips, which the magazine also assembled last year, to come. A look at the first from the 2012 batch below. Happy holidays!

A Kate Moss Documentary Is Happening

Kate Moss fans, take note: the supermodel is currently filming a documentary.

Kate Moss fans, take note: the supermodel is currently filming a documentary.

While there's no word yet on when the documentary will make its debut, a source confirmed to The Daily Telegraph that Moss is allowing a camera crew to take footage of her daily life. They were with her last night at the London launch of her new coffee-table book, Kate: The Kate Moss Book, and are expected to follow her on her global book tour.

In promoting the book, Moss has broken her longstanding aversion to interviews, revealing what she thinks about other supermodels and the early campaign that gave her a nervous breakdown. Last year she explained her press shyness to T Magazine:

"When I first started out I did press because I wasn't really aware that they would write something really horrible but then they did, and I was like: 'Oh no, I don't want to go back there. I don't really want to open up myself to that kind of criticism,'" she said. "And I think that a lot of the time you walk in a room they already know what they want to write about you, so it doesn't matter what you're like. But sometimes I will do it if I like the person or the project."

We have to assume she really, really likes this project.

Kate Moss, Age 14: Model's Teen Portraits Headed For Auction

What did Kate Moss look like before she was famous?
Kate Moss's Teenage Photos to Be Auctioned

What did Kate Moss look like before she was famous? Photographer David Ross's portraits of the supermodel at age 14 reveal her as a fresh-faced girl on the cusp of a major career.

"Kate was a cool character," said Ross of the photos he took in October 1988, which will be be sold through Bloomsbury Auctions on Nov. 23. "She seemed like a tough or resilient typical teenager, comfortably fronting me up, perhaps covering up her nerves. I suppose what was refreshing was that she was honest. She wasn't trying to prove anything or act above her station. She didn't try to adopt a model attitude of self-absorption and superiority, which at the time was becoming public via media sensation. She was untarnished. A blank canvas, as other writers have put it."

Each of the three pictures are expected to reach up to £1,200, just over $1,905, at current exchange. Take a peek at them here.

Jourdan Dunn

Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn to Walk Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Two British angels are reportedly getting their wings this week: Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn are said to be making their debuts at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Two British angels are reportedly getting their wings this week: Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn are said to be making their debuts at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Delevingne confirmed the news over the weekend, tweeting that she is "so excited for the #VSFashionShow! Had my fitting yesterday and am so happy about my outfit. Be prepared, be very prepared."

Dunn hasn't exactly let that cat out of the bag, but a source told The Daily Telegraph that she'd also be in the show. Dunn flew into New York over the weekend without specifying why she made the trip. A recent update put her "in a mini bus on my way to Winchester," but she previously promised that she'd be back in the Big Apple "in a bit."

If Dunn does walk in the show, she and Delevingne will share the runway with a lineup of models including Miranda Kerr, Lindsay Ellingson, Erin Heatherton, Adriana Lima, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge, and Alessandra Ambrosio. Ambrosio has been selected for the honor of wearing this year's $2.5 million Floral Fantasy Bra during the show.

Kate Moss Spills on the Supermodel Competition

Kate Moss recently revealed which supermodels she thinks are hot — and which are not.

Kate Moss recently revealed which supermodels she thinks are hot — and which are not.

Moss told The New York Times that she admires the Brazilian beauty Raquel Zimmermann for being so versatile. Of Lara Stone, Moss said, "I think she's very hot, with her boobs and her teeth. Though my husband says she's not his cup of tea."

As for Christy Turlington, a woman who Moss once thought of as the best in her class: "The last time I saw Christy, she was wearing a twin-set," Moss said. "You can think twin-set, but you can't wear one."
