The Tourist

Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp team up for this spy caper about a woman (Jolie) who seduces an innocent tourist (Depp) while on the run from authorities looking for her criminal ex-boyfriend in Venice. Johnny Depp takes a break from his typical fare to play a goofy average Joe, while Jolie provides pure eye candy as usual, thanks in part to her wardrobe. Though it's fun to watch these two gorgeous actors play off each other, ultimately they don't generate much heat to keep the weak plot afloat. DVD extras include outtakes, featurettes, and director's commentary.

How Do You Know

Reese Witherspoon stars as Lisa, a neurotic softball player who feels lost after being cut from the National team for being too old. As she struggles to figure out what to do with her life, she crosses paths with George (Paul Rudd), who is going through a life crisis of his own. Though she's already involved with a lovable but dim-witted baseball player named Matty (Owen Wilson), Lisa begins to wonder which guy — if either — is the right one for her. I thought the film was one of the best romantic comedies of 2010, thanks to enchanting performances from the three leads, along with Jack Nicholson. DVD bonus features include delete scenes, a blooper reel, and featurettes.

Johnny Depp Brings The Tourist to Japan Without Leading Lady Angelina

Johnny Depp looked very dapper in a suit at today's premiere of The Tourist in Tokyo, Japan.

Johnny Depp looked very dapper in a suit at today's premiere of The Tourist in Tokyo, Japan. This morning he also stepped out for a photo call as he handled the press duties without his costar Angelina Jolie. Johnny was all cleaned up after debuting his newly shaved face arriving at the airport yesterday. His leading lady Angelina missed the events since this week she's visiting Afghanistan to speak out about current refugee situations as part of her UN duties. We missed Depp at the Oscars this year, where Alice in Wonderland picked up two awards. His movie Rango is out this weekend, though his handsome face won't be up on the big screen in the animated film.

All the special effects of the futuristic Tron: Legacy were enough to lure audiences to the theaters.

All the special effects of the futuristic Tron: Legacy were enough to lure audiences to the theaters. The sequel scored the top spot at the box office for its opening weekend, earning $43.6 million. Behind it was another newcomer, Yogi Bear, which took in $16.7 million. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was knocked from number one and slid to third place with $12.4 million.

The Fighter reaped the benefits of a wider release and many award nominations: the boxing film was boosted from 19th to fourth with $12.2 million. Meanwhile, The Tourist stumbled to fifth place with $8.7 million. New romantic comedy How Do You Know didn't receive a warm welcome: the Reese Witherspoon/Paul Rudd/Owen Wilson flick took in just $7.6 million.

Angelina and Brad Join Johnny to Premiere The Tourist in Madrid

Angelina Jolie had Brad Pitt on her arm as she joined Johnny Depp at tonight's Madrid debut of The Tourist.

Angelina Jolie had Brad Pitt on her arm as she joined Johnny Depp at tonight's Madrid debut of The Tourist. She and Johnny were together again after kicking off the day with a photo call. The onscreen pair were both surprisingly nominated for Golden Globes due to their work in the movie, though they didn't receive any nods at this morning's Screen Actors Guild Awards announcement. The beaded top and long, black skirt Angelina chose today is just one of several dramatic looks she's worn during the European press tour, while Johnny has chosen to stick to his signature casual style.

Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp Keep Their Distance in Madrid

Angelina Jolie wore another black ensemble, this time with a white cardigan, alongside Johnny Depp for today's The Tourist photo call in Madrid. The two had Spain as the third stop on their European press tour, and so far Angelina and her red carpet partner Brad Pitt have been monochromatic. She wore a sassy pants ensemble in Rome yesterday and an interesting glove dress the day before in Berlin. Johnny has been rocking his own signature fashion at all their events, too. Their surprising Golden Globe nominations are among the ones we're most excited about, though The Tourist didn't fare as well with today's SAG announcement.

Angelina Stays in Black For Another Tourist Premiere With Brad!

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Johnny Depp were together this evening in Rome for a premiere of her movie The Tourist.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Johnny Depp were together this evening in Rome for a premiere of her movie The Tourist. They're winding their way through Europe on her latest leg of a press tour for the film, and yesterday they were side by side for a screening in Berlin. It was just Johnny this morning, though, for a photo op with director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. Angelina picked an all-back pants and shirt combo for her latest red carpet appearance, erring on the side of caution more than last night's edgy gloved velvet dress. She was still rocking a fuller hair look — what do you make of her new style?

Johnny Depp Brings The Tourist Right Back to Italy

Johnny Depp stepped out in Rome this morning at a photo call for The Tourist with director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck.

Johnny Depp stepped out in Rome this morning at a photo call for The Tourist with director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. The duo headed to Italy following a stay in Berlin, where they joined Angelina Jolie for a photo op yesterday afternoon. Last night was a big one with their film's German premiere, when Angelina addressed her Golden Globe acknowledgment and revealed herself to be just as shocked as Buzz about the nomination. Johnny was also recognized for his role in the movie, and he's up against himself in the Best Actor in a Comedy category due to another nod for Alice in Wonderland. Johnny has lots more roles that can earn him award season love, with his kooky animated flick Rango and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides hitting theaters next year.

Pics: Angelina Jolie Poses With Brad and Laughs at Golden Globe Nomination at Berlin Tourist Premiere!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt step out for The Tourist's Berlin premiere this evening.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt step out for The Tourist's Berlin premiere this evening. Angelina and her leading man in the movie Johnny Depp, were out together earlier today at the photo call, but she had her real-life love by her side for the red carpet tonight. Angelina wore a dramatic off-the-shoulder gown, which features long gloves, similar to the ones worn by her character in the movie. Fab wants to know, what do you think of her dress and glove combo? It's quite the day for Angelina who is also celebrating her Golden Globe nomination for the film! The Tourist's three nods were among the most surprising of the full list, but hopefully this means we'll get a Jolie-Pitt presence at the big show on Jan. 16! Angelina herself expressed shock at her nod and saying "we were laughing because it's the first time that I've been in the comedic category so it's new for me."
