This Means War

In This Means War Reese Witherspoon plays a woman tasked with a tough challenge when she starts dating two guys (Tom Hardy and Chris Pine) at once, who just so happen to be secret agents and best friends. Her choice becomes harder as the super spies pull out all the stops to win her heart, including some hilarious hijinks meant to sabotage the other's efforts. It may be a corny premise, but it's easy to fall for both leading men and the script keeps it light and funny. Extras include commentary by Director McG, deleted scenes, and alternate endings.

The Woman in Black

In the Edwardian era, a young lawyer (Daniel Radcliffe) travels to a small town to manage the affairs of a recently deceased local. While he is there, he finds the real case is a string of child suicides in the area. Though he still has many demons of his own, he attempts to investigate as more children die at their own hands. Locals alert him of the legend of the Woman in Black, and before long, he has his own run-ins with the ghost, who is none too pleased to have a man encroaching upon her space. DVD extras include commentaries and behind-the-scenes and making-of featurettes.

We are so excited that the first installment of Suzanne Collins's trilogy The Hunger Games hits the big screen today. The gripping series follows 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen in a postapocalyptic world, where she must fight for her own survival and the survival of the ones she loves. And while the action-packed plot keeps you on your toes, it's the will-they-or-won't-they love triangle between Katniss, Peeta, and Gale that really kept us turning pages. Even the actress who plays the girl caught in the middle, Jennifer Lawrence, told Seventeen Magazine she had a hard time picking a favorite: "I think I was [team] Gale until he started getting a little too trigger-happy. Or maybe first Peeta and then Gale or Gale, then Peeta? I went back and forth. I flip-flopped."

Reese Witherspoon Takes This Means War to South Korea

Reese Witherspoon popped up in Seoul this morning for a This Means War press conference. She made the trek to Asia alongside her movie's director, McG. Reese left LA on Monday for the latest leg of her promotional tour. Reese spoke about her children, Ava and Deacon, to assembled reporters. She said, "Balancing work and family . . . this is very hard. And I think many women in the world experience that. I am very lucky that I have a very supportive family. My mother helps me quite a bit. And I only make one movie a year. I try to be very careful with which movie I decide to make, because it takes my time away from my family. So I try to only pick the best scripts and work with the best people."

Reese made a quick change following her morning Q&A, which she conducted in a hot pink Michael Kors dress. She slipped into a floral-embellished LBD for this evening's premiere, again with McG by her side. It seems Reese and McG made the trip without their significant others. Reese didn't pose alongside husband Jim Toth, nor did McG with his longtime girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

Safe House Finds a Home at the Top of the Box Office

True love didn't conquer all at the box office over the weekend: Safe House soared to first place with $24 million, edging out former champ The Vow, which earned $23.6 million. Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance made its debut in third with $22 million, pushing Journey 2 into fourth place with $20 million. Reese Witherspoon's romantic comedy had a decent opening weekend, taking in $17.5 million to round out the top five.

This Means War: Survival of the Hottest

You don't always fall for the leading man of a romantic comedy, so This Means War provides a doubly pleasant surprise, because you fall for two. Tom Hardy and Chris Pine play Tuck and FDR, best friends who work together as covert agents in the CIA. When they coincidentally start dating the same girl, Lauren (Reese Witherspoon), they agree to have a fair fight for her affections. But as their feelings intensify, their gentlemanly intentions fall away and they both employ their spy resources for sabotage. It's a silly premise, but the combination of the two very charming love interests and a funny script make it a light, entertaining escape.

This Means War isn't all man candy; Witherspoon is at her most adorable as an everygirl who has just enough glamour and sophistication to be the heartbreaker in the middle of two extremely eligible guys. The casting of the three leads gets this movie off on the right foot, and they each bring a surprising amount of comedy to the film. To see why else I enjoyed This Means War, just keep reading.
