Miley Cyrus's mom, Tish, filed for divorce from Billy Ray today, citing "irreconcilable differences" in the documents. Tish and Billy Ray have been married for 19 years and have five children together. They first filed for divorce back in 2010, but reconciled shortly after.
Miley Cyrus visited New York Fashion Week with her mom, Tish, earlier today. She sat front row at the Rachel Zoe presentation while wearing a red wool jumpsuit from the stylist's line. Miley and Tish took a moment to chat with Cosmopolitan editor in chief Joanna Coles at the show, following Miley's recent Cosmo cover for the magazine's March 2013 issue.
It's been a busy few days for Miley, who spent the weekend attending a big pre-Grammys gala in LA. Although she didn't drop by the Grammy Awards on Sunday, she and record producer Pharrell Williams hinted that she'll most likely be at next year's show. Miley retweeted a message from Pharrell saying that the 2014 Grammys will be "all about" her. She has been working with Pharrell on a new album that is expected to drop sometime this year.
Miley Cyrus brought her new puppy, Penny Lane, along for a visit to LA's Spot!, a pet boutique and adoption center, yesterday along with her sister Noah and her mom, Tish. Spot! is where Miley picked up her new furry friend. It's been a big week for Miley. She celebrated her 20th birthday on Friday and got another pet to mark the milestone. Yesterday, Miley introduced Penny Lane on Twitter, noting she'd change the animal's name from Rosie.
Between celebrating her big day and working on a new album, Miley has been quite busy. She was able to make time for family though. Last week, Miley visited NYC to see her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, take on the role of Billy Flynn in Broadway's Chicago.
Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, met up with Miley's mom, Tish, to go shopping and grab lunch in LA on Monday. They were just a few of the stars that spent Memorial Day with family, and Miley tweeted that her holiday was "lovely." It'll be back to work for Liam soon, since he's nominated at this Sunday's MTV Movie Awards for his work in The Hunger Games. Miley Cyrus slipped into a black leather bikini top last night to celebrate her 18th birthday at LA's Trousdale. Her soon to be single mother Tish was on hand for the party, as was Demi Moore and her daughter Tallulah. Miley was fresh off an appearance at the American Music Awards, where she wore a mini Marchesa and simple makeup on the red carpet before switching into fringe to perform. It looks like the real fun for Miley started after she blew out the candles on her enormous cake, found a dark corner of the club, and brought a new guy friend over for some kissing. Her ex, Liam Hemsworth, was also spotted with a new companion over the weekend, so it seems like both he and Miley are moving on with no problems following their August split.
