Elle Fanning Goes Pink to Watch Jude Law Win at the BIFAs

Brits and non-Brits alike were out at the British Independent Film Awards in London last night.

Brits and non-Brits alike were out at the British Independent Film Awards in London last night. Anna Karenina star Jude Law took home the Variety Award while the drama Broken took home the top prize of best British independent film. Andrea Riseborough, who was spotted sharing a laugh with The Avengers star Tom Hiddleston, won the Best Actress award for her role in Shadow Dancer.

Felicity Jones, Tom Felton, and Elle Fanning were also on hand at the award show. Elle stole the show in a princess-like pink Oscar de la Renta gown, which was fitting for her latest role. She recently wrapped filming Disney's Maleficent, in which she plays Princess Aurora. The movie pits Elle against Angelina Jolie, who plays the villain Maleficent. Elle told us last month that she was completely starstruck by Angelina when she first met her, even silently freaking out when the A-list mom so much as touched her.

The Apparition Trailer: Ashley Greene Runs From a Homemade Ghost

Remember that old inspirational saying, "If you can believe it, you can achieve it"?

Remember that old inspirational saying, "If you can believe it, you can achieve it"? It looks like that's the case for Ashley Greene, Sebastian Stan, and Tom Felton in The Apparition. The trailer shows a team of young researchers attempting to create an apparition with their minds. When the experiment is a success, they realize that maybe it wasn't the best idea to go around making ghosts appear, especially when said ghost starts killing people.

This trailer is totally creepy and also pretty reminiscent of a couple of horror classics. The hubris of the young scientists trying to create something unnatural without regard for whether it may turn out to be totally evil is so Flatliners, while the "You believe it, you die" concept reminds me a lot of The Ring, though you had to at least watch a video tape in The Ring. These kids might be worse off, given that they have to control their own thoughts in order to survive. The flick comes out Aug. 24, but you can watch the preview when you read more

George Clooney had lady friend Stacy Keibler on his arm last night to attend the 15th annual Hollywood Film Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

George Clooney had lady friend Stacy Keibler on his arm last night to attend the 15th annual Hollywood Film Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The couple are fresh off a stint in Europe, where Stacy joined George for the Paris premiere of The Ides of March and a London screening of The Descendants. She represented her favorite football team with her purple Maria Lucia Hohan gown. Stacy tweeted, "Wearing my Ravens purple to the Hollywood Film Awards. . . Will have to keep checking the score on my phone." This was another big evening for George, who accepted the Hollywood Actor Award from his Descendants costar Beau Bridges.

Many more of George's fellow actors were honored, including Michelle Williams, who looked gorgeous in a black strapless Nina Ricci number. Michelle Williams accepted the Hollywood Actress Award once the show began, and later met up with her best friend Busy Philipps. However, Michelle was solo on the red carpet, and we caught a minute with her. She flew to California from the Michigan set of Oz: The Great and Powerful, and her daughter Matilda has been there to see the filming. Michelle said of the kid-friendly picture, "This one's for Matilda." Michelle shared room on the press line with other lovely ladies like a Pucci-clad Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Emma Stone in Jonathan Saunders, and Carey Mulligan in Bottega Veneta. Stay tuned for more news and pictures from inside the show!

Wizardry and now modeling?

Wizardry and now modeling? Is there anything the hotties of Harry Potter can't do?

The latest Band of Outsiders ad campaign features Polaroid shots of Rupert Grint and Tom Felton — better known as Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy — in their first modeling gig. James flew back to California from Detroit, where he's currently shooting Oz: The Great and Powerful, for the debut of the science-fiction film. The actor also brought a date to the event and left with his arm around the leggy redhead after completing his red-carpet duties. James announced his split from Ahna O'Reilly, his girlfriend of five years, in a new interview with Playboy. Freida, his onscreen leading lady, looked stunning in an electric green Juan Carlos Obando gown and Brian Atwood pumps. She was without her longtime boyfriend, Dev Patel, on the red carpet, but Tom Felton had two of his loved ones on hand to support his latest film — his girlfriend, Jade Gordon, and his Harry Potter costar Rupert Grint. Tom Felton Shares His Most Embarrassing Harry Potter Moment

Tom Felton is at the tail end of promotion for the final installment of the Harry Potter franchise.

Tom Felton is at the tail end of promotion for the final installment of the Harry Potter franchise. He was in the States last night for the NYC premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, and Tom also appeared at Sunday's press conference. Tom spoke about portraying a bad guy like Draco Malfoy, as well as his most embarrassing moment on set. He also mentioned what it was like to work with his real-life girlfriend, Jade Gordon. Tom said:

  • On young fans being afraid of him due to Draco: "Needless to say, we had hundreds of minors and adults having tours every day around the Harry Potter set and naturally no seven or unders wanted to have anything to do with me, which at first is a little worrying. They always get really excited when they meet Daniel, Rupert, and Emma, obviously, and then they suddenly hide behind their parents' legs when it comes to me. I probably lay it on too thick, I'm like ultra friendly like 'Hi! Nice to see you guys!' And they're really like, 'Oh my God, this is weird.'"
  • On embarrassing moments on set: "There's a handful. Where do I start? I guess the most embarrassing thing for an actor when you're surrounded by other actors that you look up to is just cocking up your lines. There was one time that I did it very noticeably, I forget which film it even is now, I think the third film, possibly the second one, there was a nice closing line for Draco out towards the end of it. I couldn't get it out for love nor money. I don't know what it was, sometimes you over rehearse or I'm not sure what it was but I couldn't do it and I actually started crying. I was only about 13, 14 and I was like, 'I'm so sorry, so sorry I can't do it.' Chris Columbus, the director, was very, very — he's the ultimate director with kids —  he really knows how to talk to them and he was like 'It's fine, it's fine. We got it. It's in the can, it's gonna be in the movie.' They cut it out of the film. It was never in the movie. I learned very quickly from that: don't mess up your lines."
  • On playing anyone other than Draco: "I didn't read the book, I didn't have a clue who Harry, Ron, or Draco was, so I was a bit clueless to be honest with you. I thought I would have made a great Hagrid but they never saw it, I don't know what it was. Not really, I've had so much fun with the Malfoy family really, the only part I could possibly consider would be my dad in 20 years for the remake or something like that. Yeah, I really couldn't see, not only could I not see myself in another character's shoes, the actors in which they did get for Harry, Ron, and all the rest of them were remarkable and I certainly couldn't have scratched their performance at all."
  • On his reaction to aging in the epilogue of the book and movie: "Shocking! I mean come on, 19 years and they're basing me on Jason Isaacs [who plays Lucius Malfoy]. I look like his dad! It was ridiculous. No it was fun, it was a lot of fun. It was cool. We prepared for that for months. They wanted pictures of my dad and my brothers and they did loads and loads of endless tests. I think it was a message to kids to say crime doesn't pay regardless and to warn off anyone with a goatee is not to be trusted, I'm not sure. It was a lot of fun, it was a lot more fun to take it off at the end of the day and go back to my normal age. But yeah it was actually one of my final scenes that I've shot so it was a really nice way of finishing it off for me, especially as it was almost 10 years to the day where I was the kid being put on the train. So it kind of felt like my life flashed before my eyes but it was a nice way to finish it for sure."
