It's a big night for Tom Hooper, who's hoping to repeat the success of his last film The King's Speech at the Oscars tonight. His latest, Les Misérables, is up for numerous awards, and he spoke with us about his big night on the way into the ceremony this evening.
Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Attend a Great British Oscars Bash
Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer hit the town last night to celebrate the GREAT British Film Reception. The bash was held at the British Consul General's Residence, and after posing on a red carpet, the True Blood couple headed inside to mingle with Les Miserables director Tom Hooper as well as Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill and his girlfriend Gina Carano. While Anna is Australian, both Henry and Stephen are Brits who seemed happy to mingle with their fellow countryman Tom. Anna and Stephen have had quite a fun week so far — they also attended a star-studded Tom Ford party a few days ago. They're among the many actors and actresses hitting the town before the Oscars, which are tomorrow!
Anne and Amanda Celebrate Les Mis With Sacha and Isla!
Anne Hathaway shared laughs and drinks with her Les Misérables costars at a special pre-Oscars bash in LA last night. She donned a Theyskens' Theory minidress as she celebrated with a Dior-wearing Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, and Isla Fisher, who attended the shindig with her husband, Sacha Baron Cohen. The Les Misérables fete supported the Los Angeles Fund For Public Education, and drew other celebrities like Adrien Brody and Judy Greer. The celebration wasn't to be confused with the separate Vanity Fair party for Silver Linings Playbook, which also benefited education in LA and was held on the same night.
The pre-Oscars parties are just getting started, and the casts of both films will have plenty of chances to celebrate before Oscar night on Sunday, Feb. 24. Don't forget to fill out our Oscar ballot for a chance to win $1,000 and an iPad.
Anne, Hugh, And More Party With Their Awards at NBC's Globes Fête
Golden Globes winners Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman celebrated their wins with their fellow award recipients and Hollywood friends when they attended the NBC Golden Globes afterparty last night. Hugh posed with director Tom Hooper while Anne was joined by Les Misérables costars Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfried, and Sacha Baron Cohen on the red carpet. Sacha caused quite the stir at the Globes when he presented and proceeded to roast his fellow costars, including poking fun of Anne's now-infamous up-skirt incident at the film's premiere back in December. However, it looks like Anne wasn't offended by Sacha's ribbing as she happily smiled with him for photos. Jessica Chastain also attended the event and proudly showed off her award while grinning for the photographers. Olympic gold medalists Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, and Missy Franklin dropped by the event, along with Smash star Megan Hilty.

Bradley Cooper Honors His "Magical" Silver Linings Playbook Director
The tables were turned for Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Russell and his star Bradley Cooper at today's Variety Indie Impact brunch at the Parker hotel in Palm Springs, CA. Last night, David presented Bradley with the Palm Springs International Film Festival's Desert Palm Achievement award for acting, but this afternoon, Bradley honored David with an Indie Impact award for his directing work, calling his experience working with David "magical." Bradley said: "We shot Silver Linings Playbook in 33 days. Many directors would be hospitalized upon just hearing the schedule." All joking aside, the project has been a critical success. Bradley has been racking up nomination after nomination for his role in the film, including nods from the Golden Globes and SAG Awards, and David has been earning plenty of accolades of his own for his behind-the-camera work.
Several of the presenters and honorees from last night's Palm Springs International Film Festival gala were also in attendance at the annual brunch. Eddie Redmayne and Tom Hooper, as well as The Session star John Hawkes, all stopped by to applaud David. Variety, which partnered with Mercedes-Benz for the event, also took the opportunity to recognize 10 up-and-coming directors during the festivities, including Wayne Blair and Rebecca Thomas. Stay tuned for tomorrow's PopSugar Rush for even more of our coverage from the film fest!
Hugh Jackman Accepts a Big Honor With Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne
Hugh Jackman got a little support from his famous friends when he was honored by the Museum of the Moving Image in NYC last night. Hugh's Les Misérables costars Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne were on the scene to help celebrate his honor. Their director, Tom Hooper, also turned out, as did Hugh's pal Liev Schreiber. The event happened on the eve of today's SAG Award nominations, where Hugh and his costars got lots of love. Their nods included including best ensemble, best actor for Hugh, and best supporting actress for Anne.
Although Anne went dark and dramatic in Tom Ford at Monday's Les Misérables film premiere, she opted for a light-pink and silver Nina Ricci dress yesterday. Anne recently opened up about her now infamous wardrobe malfunction at the premiere, calling the experience "devastating."

Subkoff attended the 2011 Oscars — and the Vanity Fair Oscars party — at the end of February with King's Speech director Tom Hooper (who won best director), and they've reportedly been together ever since.
