What better place to draw outfit (read: head gear) inspiration from than the royals abroad? Namely, Kate Middleton and her sister, Pippa, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Queen Elizabeth II. We're zeroing in on the most masterful works of hat art, courtesy of our favorite royal figures. Let this be a lesson: where royalty and the Kentucky Derby are concerned, the more dramatic the hat, the closer to heaven. Click on for all the inspiration you'll need.

Kate chose a navy blue blazer and jeans for the appearance and showed her support for Team GB with a white shirt.

It's an exciting time for the royals, as they'll be attending multiple events throughout the Games. Kate, William, and Harry helped kick off the Olympics at Friday's opening ceremonies. On Saturday, William watched a soccer match with David Beckham and his son Brooklyn.

Meet Zara Phillips: The Royal Olympian

Royal watchers already know Zara Phillips, granddaughter to Queen Elizabeth and 13th in line to the throne.

Royal watchers already know Zara Phillips, granddaughter to Queen Elizabeth and 13th in line to the throne. The daughter of Princess Anne married English rugby player Mike Tindall last Summer. An athlete herself, Zara and her horse, High Kingdom, have won a spot to compete on the UK's equestrian team at the London Olympics. Maybe the home turf will bring her luck!

Unlike her cousins Princes William and Harry or Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Zara doesn't carry a title. Princess Anne declined a title for her children, and they don't use the HRH style. Zara, 31, is an accomplished equestrian, as well as an outdoor-fashion designer. And she almost represented Britain at the 2008 Olympics but had to withdraw from the team due to her an injury. Formerly a staple of British tabloids, thanks to her rocky relationship with jockey Richard Johnson, Zara has settled down, and the queen and Prince Philip were said to be "delighted" about her wedding.

Get to know Zara more with a look at her past public moments now. Lots of fun hats ahead — Beatrice isn't the only Windsor cousin who knows how to make a fascinator fashion statement.

Zara Phillips Debuts Her Designs and Talks About Her Royal Wedding

Zara Phillips was back to work yesterday, showing off the children's equestrian clothes she's designed under the label ZP 176 Kids. She joined two youngsters in the town of Upper Slaughter, England, to debut the designs and speak about her new life as a married woman! Zara married Mike Tindall Saturday in Edinburgh, Scotland, surrounded by her royal relatives and his family. Mike was also back to work this week, joining his teammates on the English rugby team for a training session Monday and putting on his white jersey yesterday for a press event in the town of Bagshot. Zara spoke about their ceremony during her conference yesterday, touching on rumors her cousin Prince William did karaoke at the reception, whether she'll take Mike's name, and how the day went as a whole. Zara said:

  • On her wedding day: "The day was amazing and to have all of your friends there in one place, for both of us, was the best part of it . . . Unfortunately both of us do have quite busy lives so it's going to have to wait a bit for a honeymoon, but it is quite nice to go back to work as well. We're kind of missing the quiet period where we can catch up and have some sleep. It's back to work and that's what we do."
  • On Prince William doing karaoke: "There was no karaoke. I think there was assistance with the band, but that was about it."
  • On taking Mike's last name: "I'm very much Mrs. Tindall and will be privately and I'm sure publicly as well, but just for professional and sponsors I'm going to keep Phillips as well — I'll keep both of them!"

First Kate Middleton, then Charlene Wittstock, and now Zara Phillips: it's been a ripe season for royal weddings. The queen's granddaughter married English rugby captain Mike Tindall in a relatively low-key wedding in Scotland. Zara wore a Stewart Parvin gown, with a chevron-pleated bodice and dropped waist. Her mother, Princess Anne, gave her the Greek diamond tiara to wear. Stylish attendees included Kate Middleton, who recycled a yellow jacquard jacket she's worn in the past, and princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, who both chose skirtsuits and fascinators. The queen, like Zara, also chose the British couturier Stewart Parvin, along with her trusty handbag. Click our slideshow to see all the royal wedding looks.

Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall Emerge as Husband and Wife After an Epic Party!

Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall left the Palace of Holyroodhouse yesterday following their wedding ceremony on Saturday!

Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall left the Palace of Holyroodhouse yesterday following their wedding ceremony on Saturday! The couple welcomed members from both their families to Canongate Kirk for the afternoon vow exchange, and then they all, including Prince Harry, Prince William, and the latter's wife Kate Middleton, headed for a reception at the palace. Some of the party-loving royals like Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice weren't disappointed by the festivities. The bride and groom apparently didn't retire until 2 a.m., and Mike was seen out earlier Sunday still in his same suit! Even Zara's dad, Mark Phillips, apparently passed out in a chair around 2:30 a.m. The Queen left earlier, just as she did at Will and Kate's wedding, so that the younger family members could let loose. Leading the way, Zara kept trying to take the microphone during the party in attempts to sing along to a playlist that included songs from Madonna, Prince, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and more.
