My Favorite Design Elements From Tom Dixon's Circus Restaurant in London
During my trip to London in June with Visit London, I had the pleasure of dining at the cabaret restaurant and cocktail bar Circus in Covent Garden, the heart of the city's theater district. The innovative West End venue was designed by iconic British designer Tom Dixon, an all-time favorite of mine. Circus' exterior is quiet and understated, but walk through its doors, and you'll step into a surreal space that's glamorous, lively, and theatrical.
While I was blown away by the mandarin and passion fruit mojito, spiced crab cakes, and chicken and tiger prawn skewers I ordered, as well as the fire-breathing performers, it was most definitely the stylish, otherworldly design that made my visit a memorable and much-enjoyed one. Come along and I'll show you some of my favorite design elements from the restaurant!
Five Tips For Tot's First Visit to the Circus
A trip to the circus is an annual event for some families, one that is passed down through generations. Though some parents won't step foot under the big top, others have fond memories of the clowns, animals, and death-defying acts that make up the three-ring extravaganza and forget how frightening the dark arena, intricate makeup and loud music can be for lil ones. Before heading to the big top, check out our top five tips to prepare your tot for the event.
Trampoline Workout on Steroids
I took gymnastics like many young girls, and while I loved playing with the white powder by the uneven bars, my favorite part of class was jumping on the trampoline. Who knew I could have made a career out of it! Check out this video of a strong and fearless acrobat practicing his Cirque du Soleil act that involves bouncing off walls and doing flips from one trampoline to another. Amazing.
A Fabby Halloween: Cirque du Freak
Cirque du Soleil turns 25 years old this year — a quarter of a century of amazing acrobatics, over-the-top costumes, and praise-worthy showmanship. If you've ever been to one of Cirque's shows, you know it's all about the theatrics. Lots and lots of it! Colorful stripes, silly polka dots, top hats, sequins, feathers, bow ties, and ballet slippers are all part of the freaky fun. For makeup ideas, check out Bella's 21 hair and makeup looks you WON'T be wearing come Spring. And unlike everyday life, you can pile on all these things on Oct. 31; the more, the freakier.

Britney's Taking Her Tour to Europe Far Away From Sam Lutfi

Britney Spears has been busily making her way around the country on her Circus tour and she's not ready to stop yet. Yesterday she announced that she will be taking it international this Summer with stops so far scheduled around Europe in June and July.
While Britney was performing in Chicago yesterday, one of her legal battles was being dealt with back in LA. The restraining order against Sam Lutfi and a lawyer who claimed to be Britney's attorney was extended for three more years. Hopefully this means good riddance to Sam once and for all, but he always seems to find a way to weasel himself back into her life.
Both stories are good news for Brit who continues to look fantastic up on stage in front of thousands of her fans almost every night.
Britney's "If U Seek Amy" Video — Love It or Leave It?
Britney Spears had a surprise guest at her Long Island show last night — her friend Madonna came to see the Circus. This morning there's even more Spears excitement with the release of her new video for "If U Seek Amy." The song is already famous for its saucy hidden message, and the video plays up Brit's naughty side and nice exterior. Her rumored new boyfriend, manager Jason Trawick, who she vacationed with last May has to appreciate how smoking hot she looks. Check out the "If U Seek Amy" video below and tell us — love it or leave it?
Tim and Camillo Dance to Britney's Circus
Pretend it's happening on a stage under klieg lights instead of a parking lot and that Tim and Camillo are in costume. Or not. They still rule.

What to Download: New Music on iTunes
Tuesdays are big in entertainmentville: Not only do all the new DVD releases hit Netflix, but new music also pours into stores, including iTunes. So I take a spin through each week's iTunes music releases and pick out some albums and tracks worthy of a download. Here are today's selections:
Comeback kid: Britney Spears's new album, Circus, is being described as "adequate" by most reviewers, and from what I've listened to so far, I'd agree. I've had "Womanizer," a song I really enjoy, on my jogging mix for a while now (and all I see is Chuck Bass). I'm not too sure what else from this odd collection of songs I will get into next, but Britney's tunes have a way of creeping up on me over time as I warm to their catchiness. One song, "Unusual You," is very pretty even though it hardly sounds like her, and "Kill the Lights" is cool. Also: What is going on with her accent on "Mmm Papi"?
The best of Chess: I caught an early screening of Cadillac Records last night (I'll share my thoughts on the movie later this week) and boy, am I in the mood for some blues from this era. Lucky for me, the original songs featured in the film have been neatly rounded up for an album available for download today. Classics like "(I'm Your) Hoochie Coochie Man" and "Forty Days and Forty Nights" by the legendary Muddy Waters sound great even on MP3. Oh man, and Etta James pouring her heart out on tracks like "Trust In Me" and "All I Could Do Is Cry" sounds amazing here too. The entire album is awesome — I downloaded it all.
One more still to come, so read more
