Watch: Inside Valentino's Master of Couture Exhibit

"For me it was very important to give the essence of femininity, the essence of glamour, and the essence of haute couture," said Valentino of his legendary body of work.

"For me it was very important to give the essence of femininity, the essence of glamour, and the essence of haute couture," said Valentino of his legendary body of work. "It's like a sculpture that is done in the body of the lady."

In a just released short film, the designer shows off some of the "sculptures" that are on display at London's Somerset House as part of the exhibit Valentino: Master of Couture. Mannequins dressed in some of the designer's most iconic dresses are arranged on either side of a long, wide runway. "It's quite amusing for people to go and do the runway themselves and to watch the clothes seated and being spectators."

Some of the dresses in the show date back to his first collections in the '60s, and some are seriously famous: Pieces worn by Audrey Hepburn and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis are featured, and so is the dress Julia Roberts wore when she won the Oscar for Erin Brockovich in 2001.

"I have been so lucky in my career," Valentino said of how important his clothing has been. "I don't know if I deserve it or not, but I have been very very lucky." Get an inside glimpse at the exhibit, which runs through Mar. 3, 2013, in the video below.

Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell Reveal All For Interview

Supermodel friends Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell have reunited for their first joint cover since the February 2008 issue of Vogue Paris.
Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell Interview Cover December 2012

Supermodel friends Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell have reunited for their first joint cover since the February 2008 issue of Vogue Paris.

Moss and a bare-chested Campbell cover the December 2012 issues of Interview Russia and Interview Germany, photographed in black and white by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. That both the models and the pictures are black and white underscores a portion of their joint interview in the magazine. In an excerpt from it, Moss asks Campbell whether being one of the most visible black models in the world felt "like a battle you were fighting?"

"I can't say that the word battle is the right word but it definitely felt like it was an uphill struggle for something," Campbell says. "I felt like I had to do what I had to do for my race and to keep awareness out there."

Herein, a peek at the images. Warning, some may be unsuitable for work.

This Louis Vuitton Small Bag Video Is Adorable

Louis Vuitton enlisted bloggers Miroslava Duma, Hanelli Mustaparta, and Elin Kling, to appear in a video called "Small Is Beautiful," an ode to the house's small, crossbody bags.

Louis Vuitton enlisted bloggers Miroslava Duma, Hanelli Mustaparta, and Elin Kling, to appear in a video called "Small Is Beautiful," an ode to the house's small, crossbody bags.

The premise is simple: Schlepping around town with a gigantic tote isn't fun, but carrying a small, functional bag can be. Cue adorable French New Wave-ish footage of Kling riding a bike across a bridge in Paris, Mustaparta taking in the sights via train, and Duma dancing on the banks of the Seine — all unencumbered and light-as-air with their itty-bitty purses.

Kling said in a blog post that the clip was produced during a photo shoot last month. The images from the shoot won't be out until the Spring, but hopefully the video below will tide us over until they're released.

It's Here: The 2013 Pirelli Calendar

The biggest difference in the 2013 Pirelli Calendar is that its subjects aren't nude.
Pirelli Calendar 2013 | All Pictures & Behind the Scenes

The biggest difference in the 2013 Pirelli Calendar is that its subjects aren't nude. Photojournalist Steve McCurry shot this year's calendar in Rio de Janeiro and he said he wanted to "portray women who are sexy without being naked."

Those women include Adriana Lima — the first visibly pregnant woman to be depicted in the calendar — and fellow models Isabeli Fontana, at left, Liya Kebede, Karlie Kloss, Petra Nemcova, Hanaa Ben Abdesselem, Elisa Sednaoui, Kyleigh Kuhn, and Summer Rayne Oakes. Brazilian actress Sonia Braga and singer Marisa Monte will also appear in the calendar.

All of McCurry's subjects support charitable foundations, NGOs, and other humanitarian projects. Kloss, for example, promotes FEED with her Perfect 10 Cookies, and Kuhn is the founder of Twenty Four Suns, a company that supports artisans in Afghanistan. Nemcova auctioned off a trip to Brazil with tickets to the calendar's Nov. 27 gala there and donated the proceeds to the Happy Hearts Fund.

A look at the first images from what McCurry has called the "calendar of the soul" — plus a behind-the-scenes look at how it was made — right here in the gallery.

Anna Wintour will turn 63 on Saturday, and at last word she'd fled to Upper Manhattan after her home in Greenwich Village lost power during Hurricane Sandy. But instead of focusing on the gloom, we're celebrating the occasion by taking a tour through Wintour's happiest moments caught on camera since she took over at Vogue in 1988. After all, she did say of quitting the magazine: "I think — my father always said to me that when you get too angry that's the time to stop. The day I get too angry is the day I take up gardening." Therefore: 63 Wintourian smiles, for each of her 63 years, in the slideshow.

The Creepiest Fashion Editorials Ever

Nowhere is fashion's long-running love affair with the dark side better illustrated than in the pages of glossy magazines.
Creepy Fashion Editorials | Pictures

Nowhere is fashion's long-running love affair with the dark side better illustrated than in the pages of glossy magazines. In fact, it seems that certain photographers' sole purpose — we're talking about you, Craig McDean, Tim Walker, Steven Klein, Yelena Yemchuk, Mert & Marcus, and Steven Meisel — is to create images that go beyond the subtly subversive and into territory that is downright macabre. From chilling cemetery scenes to nightmare-inducing institutional interactions, these are some of the spookiest fashion editorials around.

Warning: some of the following images are quite graphic, and most are not safe for work.
