Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet make up the band, and we chatted with them about the whirlwind week leading up to the Grammys and their plans for getting ready — and avoiding any wardrobe malfunctions! — at today's show.
Country stars were joined by their Hollywood friends last night for the third annual American Country Awards in Las Vegas. Hosts Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins, who hosted last year's event too, made a hilarious entrance when they walked on stage with Trace carrying tiny Kristin in a pink baby sling. Kristin made multiple costume changes throughout the night, even changing into a sexy Santa costume to celebrate the Christmas season.
Big winners for the night included Miranda Lambert, who took home a single of the year award and a music video of the year award, and Carrie Underwood, who won the single of the year and female artist of the year prizes. This has been a busy month for Carrie, who we last saw at the taping of CMT's Artist of the Year celebration.
