Katie Holmes and Connor Cruise were by Tom Cruise's side last night as the actor picked up an award from the Wiesenthal Center at the Four Seasons Hotel in LA. Tom earned the Jewish human rights organization's humanitarian honor, and the distinction was earned due to his longtime support of their Museum of Tolerance in addition to work bringing Nazi atrocities to light. He was especially able to reveal WWII abuses in the film Valkyrie, playing a German soldier who attempted to assassinate Hitler. Tom had friends and business partners from movie projects of the past, present, and future on hand to wish him well. His old Jerry Maguire buddy, Cuba Gooding, Jr., turned out, along with his Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol friends like Jeremy Renner, who's actually taking over the MI franchise, and Paula Patton. J.J. Abrams, who wrote the script for the latest installment of the action series, was on hand to emcee the proceedings. Even Malin Akerman, who nabbed the lead in Tom's new film Rock of Ages, came out to show love for the superstar. Malin and Tom's other costar, Russell Brand, was off jet-skiing in Miami, though, and couldn't make it. Tom was touched about the prize and made a short speech from the stage. Tom Cruise said of his humanitarian award, "It's a tremendous honor. For me and my family this is really a very special evening and I look at what Simon Wiesenthal accomplished with his life, what this museum represents . . . Our challenge, ladies and gentlemen, is to make sure that we do all in our power to see to it that there will be no more Auschwitz Birkenaus, no more Rwandas, no more Darfurs on our planet. That our children and their children may be free to live in a world where men and women are judged by their accomplishments and deeds rather than by their race or religion."

Katie Uses Her Extra Time to Promote The Romantics at Sundance
Katie Holmes spent her first days at Sundance supporting her film The Extra Man with a special screening, but last night she switched gears to focus on her other movie debuting at the festival. She was in a tan shirt and black scarf to celebrate The Romantics along with many of her costars like Elijah Wood, Malin Akerman, and Adam Brody. Josh Duhamel was able to take a break from his travels on behalf of When in Rome — make sure to check out Buzz's exclusive interview with Josh and Kristen Bell and enter CelebStyle's giveaway to win your own trip to the Italian capital! Fergie was also there to support her husband's new project, and she found a minute to mingle with Katie during their evening out.

Ryan and Sandra Don't Call It a Romantic Comedy
Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock clowned around on the red carpet at last night's premiere of The Proposal in LA. Scarlett skipped the photo ops with her husband as usual, but Ryan had both Sandra and his mom Tammy as dates for the evening. The movie hits theaters on June 19, but according to Sandra, we shouldn't expect typical romantic comedy fare. She said,
"It reminds me of the films from like the '30s and '40s where there was a landscape and a story and drama was allowed to be in there. You can't have good comedy without drama in it. And they don’t generally write well for women in romantic comedies. I love my comedy too much to bastardize it with bad romantic comedy. So I was like, 'I'm going to find another way to work and do it in a way that I love.' So I'm not calling this a romantic comedy."
Romantic comedy or not, we're excited to see more of Ryan and Sandra's chemistry after the duo made us laugh with their Funny or Die video and at the MTV Movie Awards.

The Ladies Go Bright on the MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet
There was a lot of color on the red carpet last night at the MTV Movie Awards in LA. Audrina Patridge led the sparkly parade in her sequined gown, while Paris Hilton and Vanessa Hudgens opted for similarly bright tones. Vanessa's breezy dress matched the sunshine, though she looked a little chilly as the night started to set in. Kristen Stewart showed her tomboy side by accessorizing with Chuck Taylors, and Megan Fox slicked her hair back and sported a LBD. Leighton Meester looked amazing in her tight dress as she walked in to join her boyfriend who skipped the red carpet.
Lauren Conrad and Sandra Bullock also kept things short. Whitney Port was showing a little skin with her white dress, as was Sienna Miller, whose showstopping dress was cut low in the back. Cameron Diaz, meanwhile, went casual in blue jeans with her costar Abigail Breslin who's quite the fashionista already. All the ladies looked gorgeous, and make sure to check out Fab and Bella for all the beauty and fashion coverage from the evening.

This Week's Fab Favorite: Malin Ackerman
I was amongst my people last night at the Chanel store opening party in LA, or so I like to think so. Chanel employees, Chanel lovers, Chanel aficionados, oh, and gorgeous actresses and models ching-chinged wearing the coveted label. It was a tough call but budding blonde and 27 Dresses star, Malin Ackerman won me over in her deep burgundy sparkly Chanel jumpsuit. Just when I thought I'd seen my fill of disco-era jumpsuits, this girl was hopping around the Chanel party in super style.

And that smile — amazing! She's like a cross between two other Fab favorites: Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson. To top off the daring look, she chose an icey plastic Chanel clutch, black wooden platforms, and tiered diamond earrings and a cosmic cocktail ring by Chanel Fine Jewelry. She's got the look.

Behind The Seams: The Chanel Boutique Opening on Robertson
Here I am, fresh from the Chanel opening on Roberston Boulevard in LA. And boy do I have lots to dish. The store was very cool: Peter Marino designed, white block motif, outdoor courtyard, two levels, life size Chanel shoes and bags reminiscent of the Fall collection, mannequins wearing pieces from Chanel Paris-Londres Métiers d’Art Collection, bubbly flowing and PYTs galore. Spotted: Rachel Bilson, Angie Harmon, Leighton Meester, Michelle Trachtenberg, Kirsty Hume, Amber Valletta, Malin Ackerman, January Jones (from Mad Men) and Emma Roberts. Amidst all the fabulous chaos we were able to grab the witty January Jones and the adorable Emma Roberts for a few Fab words.

But first, here were the fashion highlights: Malin's sparkly Chanel jumpsuit, Bilson's hot pink sequin purse, January Jones' rebellious chain dress, Angie's coral accents and Amber Valletta's glowing skin. Alas, it wasn't all super fabulous. Fab goddess Linda Evangelista and Fabcon Kelly Wearstler were supposed to be in attendance and they weren't there — bum city. Oh well. Can I say January Jones was such a pleasure to talk to? We were seriously vibing and she was so smart and down to earth. Here she is!
Can we talk about your dress?
Of course. I went in today — I just flew in from London yesterday — so I ran in today and they know my taste and they had a couple of things picked out. I like things more on the edgy side. So, I got my chains.
And are you jet lagged?
I’m drinking my way out of it.
So Mad Men, can we talk about the wardrobe? How do you like the wardrobe, has it affected your personal style at all? How does it feel dressing in costumes of yesteryear?
I’ve always been a huge fan of vintage clothing. So the only downside is when I go shopping I can’t get anything from that’s late 50s/early 60s because then I wander around looking like Betty. I absolutely adore being in period outfits: the girdle, the stockings and the garter belts, the pointy bras. They have to add tips in there because modern women don’t have that shape. It’s interesting, it’s hard to get in and out of, but it’s fun.
