The 2012 London Olympics have come to a close! The 16-day athletic extravaganza came to a close yesterday with the closing ceremony, featuring a who's who of British musical acts including the Spice Girls, The Who, and Muse. The Beckham family and the royals were all over checking out the action. Team USA had a great deal to be proud of — we racked up more medals than any other nation with a whopping count of 104 between gold, bronze, and silver! We crowned new American Sweethearts thanks to amazing performances from Gabby Douglas, Missy Franklin, Ryan Lochte, Michael Phelps, the US basketball team, and so many more. Revisit all of the Olympics fun with our roundup of photos.
Ryan Lochte Celebrates 28 and 5 Medals With a Night of London Clubbing
Ryan Lochte gathered his friends for an Olympics party last night at the London club Chinawhite. He linked up with fellow London 2012 swimmers, including Matt Grevers and Nathan Adrian, to toast the many medals amassed by Team USA in the pool. Ryan personally racked up five, including gold for the 400-meter individual medley and the 200-meter team freestyle. He had another reason to celebrate, too — Friday was Ryan Lochte's 28th birthday! He had the company of some lady friends leaving Chinawhite, but they likely weren't one-night stands. Ryan clarified comments his mom made about his personal habits recently, and said he "dates" but doesn't do one-evening-only trysts. He's among the many athletes enjoying attention from the opposite sex now that the hard work is done. Michel Phelps partied with his medals and a statuesque blonde over the weekend, too.
Bar Refaeli Watches Nathan Adrian Take Home Gold
Bar Refaeli was back in the stands at London's Aquatics Centre yesterday. She checked out multiple swimming races, including the men's 100-meter freestyle final, which USA's Nathan Adrian won by just one one-hundredth of a second. Bar was also in the crowd on Tuesday when Michael Phelps grabbed his 19th Olympic medal. Bar was joined by rumored boyfriend Shaun White for that event, and the duo celebrated the huge win with Michael's family. Bar's showing support for her home country as well and tweeted about Israeli tennis players Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram, who lost to Americans Bob and Mike Bryan today.
