Tracy McMillan ignited an Internet firestorm two years ago with her article "Why You're Not Married." She's parlayed the controversial article into a new book, Why You're Not Married . . . Yet, and a role as one of three matchmakers on the Eva Longoria-produced dating show Ready For Love, which premiered last week. Tracy stopped by our LA studios recently to talk about the dating advice she doles out in her latest book and her opinion on why TV dating shows can still create authentic romances. Tracy also shared some relationship advice, including a novel idea for a first date. Ready For Love airs Tuesday nights at 9/8 Central, and Why You're Not Married . . . Yet is available now.
Tonight NBC will premiere Ready For Love, the latest twist on reality-TV dating. Instead of just one bachelor, three men will meet 12 women, each handpicked for them by professional matchmakers. This new show, along with stalwarts The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, may fill our dating show quota these days, but there's a long history of TV shows about the crazy world of dating. Whether you loved watching reruns of the Love Connection or you still wish Jenny McCarthy was hosting Singled Out, click through to check out how the wonderful world of TV dating shows has evolved from game shows to reality TV over the last 40-plus years!
Eva Longoria wore bikini bottoms and a rashguard as she waded in the waves in Malibu today. The actress and producer was busy overseeing a shoot for her new reality show, Ready For Love, in which three single guys enlist the help of matchmakers to help them find romance. Today, Eva seemed to be having a blast as she splashed in the ocean and hopped on a paddleboard.
Eva herself is single again following her split from Eduardo Cruz. The pair first began dating in February 2011, and their most recent breakup was their second. Eva and Eduardo gave their romance a second try after initially parting ways last March, but Eduardo confirmed their latest split through his rep in late June. Since then, Eva and New York Jets player Mark Sanchez have been rumored to be casually dating.
