Wang told WWD that the campaign, shot by Steven Klein, is meant to be a "very cinematic portrayal" of his Fall 2013 debut for the house. He added that there's "lots of emotion, in contrast to the austerity bestowed in the show."

Whether McMenamy's face will appear in other images from the campaign will have to wait until June, when the campaign begins appearing in magazines. A full look at the first shot, here in the gallery.

Model Takeover: Louis Vuitton's Alma Campaign May Be the Beginning of a New Era

Louis Vuitton calls its brand-new ad campaign for the iconic Alma bag "Chic on the Bridge" — which is fitting, as the images were shot on bridges in New York, Paris, and Shanghai.

Louis Vuitton calls its brand-new ad campaign for the iconic Alma bag "Chic on the Bridge" — which is fitting, as the images were shot on bridges in New York, Paris, and Shanghai.

Steven Klein shot the images, which feature models Karlie Kloss, Iris Strubegger, Jac Jagaciak, and Daria Strokous. In each city they pose with a different colored Alma bag: taxicab yellow in New York, French blue in Paris, and lacquer red in Shanghai.

But the beautiful images might be the beginning of a new tide of ads for Vuitton: market sources told WWD that the brand has plans to phase out its Core Values campaigns, which have featured notable figures like Angelina Jolie, Catherine Deneuve, Mikhail Gorbachev, and Keith Richards.

A look at the new ads, here in the gallery.

Calvin Klein Makes Good Case For Watching the Super Bowl

If you hadn't planned on watching this Sunday's Super Bowl, Calvin Klein is making a compelling case for at least sitting through the first quarter.

If you hadn't planned on watching this Sunday's Super Bowl, Calvin Klein is making a compelling case for at least sitting through the first quarter.

That's when the company will debut its first-ever Super Bowl commercial, a 30-second spot that advertises the new Calvin Klein Concept underwear collection. The black and white ad, directed by Fabien Baron, features shots of model Matthew Terry stretching and flexing in a pair of miniscule black briefs. Between those shots are a few short clips of vague machinery. A press release said the visual pairing is supposed to invoke the "man vs. machine" idea inspired by the underwear's seamless construction. That Terry's abdominal region appears to have more horsepower in it than most modern sports cars, however, was not addressed.

Steven Klein's coordinating ad campaign, seen above, will appear in GQ, Esquire, and Men's Health, as well as on billboards around the world. Viewers will see the full commercial during Sunday's game, which will air on CBS at 6:30 p.m. A look at the teaser below.

See All Four Covers From Max Pearmain and Ashley Heath's New Edition of Arena Homme Plus

>> With its new editorial team, the biannual Arena Homme Plus has become something of a brother publication to POP — they now share the same editorial director, Ashley Heath, and the magazine's new editor in chief, Max Pearmain, used to be acting menswear editor at POP.

>> With its new editorial team, the biannual Arena Homme Plus has become something of a brother publication to POP — they now share the same editorial director, Ashley Heath, and the magazine's new editor in chief, Max Pearmain, used to be acting menswear editor at POP.

Heath and Pearmain's first edition of Arena Homme Plus hits newsstands next Monday, April 11 in the UK (and Monday, April 18 for the rest of the world), boasting four different covers, one each playfully dubbed "Stephen," "Stevie," "Steve," or "Steven."

"The men's fashion magazine market has become so staid and predictable," Pearmain notes of his vision for the magazine. "It was actually more inspiring in many ways 15 years ago when there was just L'Uomo, Vogue Hommes, and Arena Homme Plus . . . We wanted to inject some surprise and some passion and some playfulness back into this world."

Pearmain himself styled New Order's Stephen Morris for the "Stephen" cover, artist Clunie Reid created scrawling artwork for the "Stevie" cover (left), David Sims photographed the "Steve" cover, and Steven Klein, of course, captured the "Steven" cover. The Klein version of the issue — or Homme+ PLUS as it has been christened — comes with 45 extra pages of more "hardcore" content. Some of it has already been posted online (NSFW) and will only be sold in selected independent retailers and online.

The move back to Arena Homme Plus is something of a coming home for Heath, who used to edit the magazine himself: "It's been fun to return. I really built that magazine on blood, sweat, and tears back in the day, so it was great that David Sims, Steven Klein, and others from the glory days returned and contributed such strong, strange work. There's this sense of travel, of art and design, of the way the world is changing . . . We changed the paper stocks a bit and did that 'special sections' thing I'm into recently. The magazine is still niche, but it will appeal to a broader cross-section of stylish men."

Alongside contributions from Sims and Klein, the new issue also features work by Wolfgang Tillmans, Collier Schorr, and Ari Marcopoulos.

  • Libertine is headed back to New York Fashion Week this February, minus a partner and with a new direction, says designer Johnson Hartig: "It’ll be different in that once Cindy [Greene] and I separated, I stopped using placement prints — I mean literal images — and it’s become more abstract. Alessandra, Izabel, Maryna, and Isabeli Are Making Some Funny Faces in Dolce & Gabbana's Spring 2011 Ad Campaign

>> Now that the full set of Dolce & Gabbana's Spring 2011 ad campaign is out, the images together are quite something. Garance Dore noted earlier this week that both the Chloe and Valentino Spring campaigns show models who are actually smiling, and with Dolce, the models are also actually showing emotion, but of a different kind: Steven Klein captured Isabeli Fontana, Alessandra Ambrosio, Maryna Linchuk, and Izabel Goulart mid-yell in more than one image, and Alessandra goading Isabeli in another. Of course, there are the requisite sultry looks — this is Dolce & Gabbana we're talking about — but it's worth noting that models are starting to be given some freedom of expression when it comes to ads.

>> Is Madonna's new movie W.E — a romantic comedy about King Edward VIII and his affair with American divorcee Wallis Simpson — going to have a Steven Klein look to it? Madonna co-wrote and is directing the film, which stars Abbie Cornish, Richard Coyle, Natalie Dormer, and Oscar Isaac, and last week on set in Brooklyn she was spotted chatting with Klein, spurring rumors that he may be playing an advisory role. The two do have a long history of collaborations, after all. Meanwhile, Arianne Phillips, who worked on Tom Ford's film and also has a long-running history with Madonna, is acting as costume designer. [Fashionista]
