Definitely women amongst them to be inspired by. I've seen so many examples in my life. My parents and grandparents have both been together since their teens, but both marriages appear completely lifeless, whilst my oldest sister who is in her late twenties has been through countless manic-depressive relationships; it starts out all swell, then the relationship strands and she is left emotionally drained, swearing she'll be single from now on, until she falls head over heels with someone again. I just don't see the point in remaining anything but single if you're a woman.

10 unmarried women who could end the stigma... how about ANY of us who are unattached? Why need another human being to complete you? (I'm 28 and if it happens for me, great... if not, then that's one less thing I have to worry about).

Why a stigma against unmarried women but not people who marry 3-4 times? Especially people who add and then utterly confuse a kid or two with each marriage?

I don't know why there has to be a stigma. It's no one's business what people do with their love lives.

Considering that the study was all of 32 women, I'm not impressed - they may be right (and stating the obvious) but its hardly a conclusive study from my perspective.

i think some of these women are good examples, like cameron diaz...but some aren't. i mean jessica simpson, for example, doesn't seem like she's happy being single, she is ALWAYS talking about relationships and wanting to get married, etc.

I dunno, I thought it was a kind of sarcastic title....
