Geeks like to destroy things in new and inventive ways just to see what happens (and just because they can). It's in their nature to be frivolous with technology. It entertains them to demolish the things that make them happy. It is incomprehensible to me (but, having married a Geek, I have come to accept this innate quirk in most fellow Geeks). I also wonder why people do not donate to needy children rather than destroy for the sake of fun or self-promotion -- but I am a huge supporter of free will and personal rights. If this blender man bought the iPod, then it is well within his rights to do with it whatever he wants (even if *I* think it's a shameful waste) -- and there is an entire sub-species of human Geek that purchases expensive electronics for the sole purpose of ruining them.

Wow, get a life. I agree with crispet. Couldn't they have donated it? What a waste.

Thats annoying. I couldnt help but think of the people who worked really hard to invent the ipods. What would they think/how would they feel to see that? And also, I get that this guy blends weird things and videotapes it, but some child in foster care would probably have reallllly enjoyed getting that as a gift. Why couldnt he just donate it like a normal human being?
