I have to add that I was ADDICTED to the AG mag! It was my first introduction into the world of glossies, and I have vivid memories of eagerly awaiting the new issue to come and slowly reading through it page by page. (BTW, love your avatar snarkypants!!!!)

i had kirsten & her trunk. i loved AG! i was a subscriber of their mag as well. when the option came around to have one crafted after yourself, my parents did that for me as well. the factory in chicago was amazing, when i finally had the chance to go to it. i agree that the dolls & accessories are pretty pricey, but i still have both of mine. they are both in great condition. (it's been 19 years) so if anything, they're a great investment if you plan to pass them down to a daughter / granddaughter / niece, etc.

I LOVED these dolls and the books. I had Felicity, Kirsten, and Addy. My sister had Molly. Kirsten was my favorite- she was the first one that my grandmother got me. Since the clothes and accessories were so expensive, my grandmother hand sewed the dresses for me. They were amazing and beautiful and so much more special because she made them by hand for me. I still have all of the clothes, the dolls, and the books. I plan to hand them down to my own daughter some day.

Wow, I feel old! I remember when it was just the classic Kirsten, Samantha, and Molly! I've never considered Felicity and Addy classics! (I guess I'm an American Girls snob!)

I got Kirsten as a kid cause she had a cat with her or something. I was obsessed with cats as a child, but then again I still am :) She's packed up somewhere at my mom's house now.
