Anthony Weiner Heckled as He Resigns Video

Anthony Weiner Resigns Amid a Chorus of Hecklers

Anthony Weiner was joined by hecklers today when he announced his resignation from Congress. As he apologized to his wife and constituents,nd shared his decision to leave office after seven terms, someone yelled, "Yeah, get out of here pervert!" Others shouted out more lewd questions, yet it seemed like an appropriately obscene ending to the bizarre Weinergate. His last name is Weiner, after all, and he was caught sending photos of his well, wiener. The whole press conference leaves me wondering why he didn't just release a press statement with the news he was quitting. Watch the resignation speech now.

Senators Ensign, Coburn & Vitter must really upset you Pax. Hope you urge them to resign so real pro-American people can replace them.

A person's character outside the office will eventually affect his actions in office. We all have our own frame of reference and draw from that as a well of knowledge. Since it appears weiner's was to disrespect women (teens, unknowns) via aggressive comments, then without a doubt that would affect how he treated law-making. He would do as he pleased and not consider the effects on those who mattered more, whether his wife, his electorate, or the law.

Everyone's the moral legion of decency. If he did his job well, there was no need to resign. That trouble was between him and his wife.

How do you define a "good" congressman? If he's not for more freedom and less government interference, he's against the rule of law and, therefore, not pro-American.

Ugh what an uncomfortable situation. Did that guy have a PR person at all? I don't doubt that he's a douche, but come on... it's not like he drove drunk and killed a baby or something.

How many more socialists need to be removed so that we can get our nation on track to freedom? :rotfl:

As much as I disagree with him, I really think this is unfortunate. He was a good congressman, he fought for his beliefs and his constituents with passion, and whatever he did on his own time is not basis for resignation. And if these people are our media - we are in serious trouble.

Glad he's gone. How many more socialists need to be removed so that we can get our nation on track to freedom?

I just think this is all much ado about nothing.

Resigning via press release would be denounced as cowardly, ducking the press, not facing constituents, etc.
