Bill Clinton: "Never Seen A Candidate Treated So Disrespectfully Just For Running" Former President Bill Clinton in South Dakota today delivered a harsh critique of how his wife has been treated during her presidential bid, telling the crowd that he has "never seen a candidate treated so disrespectfully just for running," and that, "she will win the general election if you nominate her. They're just trying to make sure you don't." Clinton spent more than six minutes calmly discussing what he called a "frantic effort to push her out" of this race, saying that no one asked Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson or Gary Hart to end their presidential campaigns early.

Thats ONE time McCain complained. How many times have we heard Obama complain about Wright? About his wife? Hillary complain about the media? what is this? the 3rd time or so? Not the same situation.

" i think the only one who's sucked it and dealt has been mccain." WHAT?? Complaining about the phrase "losing your bearings" was NOT "sucking it up"! That was the biggest stretch for an offense that I have yet seen this year! I think Bill's comments are exaggerated and dramatic. Yes, she has taken heat this year, but I feel that the way she conducted her campaign and the low tactics they used caused that. People wouldn't ask you to drop out if they thought you would be respectful and honest.

I used to support Hellery and I actually thought the media was being unfair to her. But now I just want her to go away. She is dragging this on way too long, and she is making up lies about historical references and how she compares to other candidates in the past.

thats because rev. wright to hagee isn't an apples to apples comparison. and which one someone thinks is worse usually falls down to party lines. hey, maybe you're right, maybe the media doesn't report mccain's shortcomings, maybe thats true, but they certainly aren't flat out campaigning for him like MANY news stations do for obama. face it, in the who gets it worst game with the media, the republicans win hands down, every time! :) sb - thats so funny! :) makes sense though...

Yeah. I totally agree. If Obama thinks this is tough, wait until he goes up against people who really don't care about being underhanded.

"in fact, i think the only one who's sucked it and dealt has been mccain. but you know, republicans are a lot of things, but not stupid enough to think the media will give them a fair shake." HA! I know what you mean. It's only a slightly related anecdote, but I once heard Lorne Michaels (the executive producer of SNL) say that republicans are never bothered that much when they get made fun of on the show because they're used to it, but the democrats get genuinely offended if they're mocked.

yes the media absolutely "hates" mccain, why just the other day they were talking about how mccain doesnt support education for vets because he feels, like bush, that it will lower military retention rates. thats soooo great that mccain and bush both feel that vets should not be properly educated. in case you didnt notice, im being sarcastic, the media never highlights mccains shortcomings. the hagee thing was barely a blip on the radar, while everyone knows about rev wright and every word he says. oh and i agree, but the race would be entirely different if mccain "sucked it" :ROTFL:

flutter are you talking about hillary or obama? because they've complained equally. in fact, i think the only one who's sucked it and dealt has been mccain. but you know, republicans are a lot of things, but not stupid enough to think the media will give them a fair shake.

the victim mentality is soooo appealing in a wannabe president.

WOW UD you mean you don't like the Clintons? That's a change in tune. Good for Bill! It has been ridiculous how she's been treated during this campaign. I've talked about it endlessly so I won't bore you with it now. Unless of course people get out of hand on this thread. ;)

Oh Boo Hoo. Do they think more people will vote for them (her) if they complaing about how badly she has(n't) been treated? No one asked the other candidates to exit early because the primary season didn't last 12 months like it has this election season.
