Bill O'Reilly Takes On New York Times, Cries Foul
On Monday's The O'Reilly Factor, Bill O'Reilly took on the New York Times and defended Fox & Friends for their Photoshopping of Times reporter Jacques Steinberg. O'Reilly claims the Times caricatured him in a 2007 book review and called this "the most hypocritical situation we have ever seen." "Let me get this straight, New York Times-people" O'Reilly said. "We can't mock you, but you can mock us? Am I getting this? If the Times editor Bill Keller would wise up, perhaps their business might improve."

I'm a conservative and I even find Bill O'Reilly ridiculous. That photoshopping incident was an embarrassment to journalism.

this is so incredibly immature... since when are we supposed to care about a feud between reporters and commentators anyway?? im much more interested in the fabricated feud between michael ian black and david sedaris.

That is an interesting contrast, Janneth.I was watching Olbermann on MSN last night...and there was a COMMERICAL for O'Reilly! It said something like, "If you can't watch it live, set your DVR." I had been fast forwarding through the commericals and my bf and I had to rewind it...we couldn't believe our eyes! I am surprised another network allowed them to advertise on their station.

Sorry, folks, you are giving O'Reilly a pass. It was a caricature of him, a cartoon, a drawing, not meant to be a photo. The other case was the photoshopping of photos of two persons not well known by their looks. Photos are meant to be accepted as reality if they are not labeled as being doctored. It is not the same thing at all. But IMO if FOX just keeps defending itself, so boldly I might add, even smart people like you just want it to go away. FOX has succeeded in doing something that is unethical, and making the general public think it is merely childish.

Once again, I am so, so sick of these petty battles between media outlets. It's utterly childish and ridiculous, and makes me lose a lot of respect for all those involved.
