Pink Betty, it sounds about right!

I prefer PINK living :rotfl: I think being green while having been around for a long time, has all of a sudden become big business....I dont think global warming if it exists has gotten that worse over the last year that people are rocking "green" expressions on their tees and driving Hybrids. Its become a fad of some sort, and I guess thats fine if people are starting to become more aware of their actions and the repercussions. Im surprised we are number 8 actually....Id think we would at least be in the top 5 :ponder: I guess Al Gore needs to step up his game :oy:

Well UnDave good luck on controling how the world expresses itself and keeping everything in tidy little catagories. I'm just going to live as green as possible.

Yes, it's common sense to clean up after ourselves. That's all we need to say though. There doesn't need to be a catastrophy involved with the reason. Keep it clean because it's the right thing to do.

And if I had kids, I would maybe not want them to grow up in a polluted cesspool? Right?

Isn't it just common sense Dave, to clean up after ourselves? And that there's only a finite amount of space where we can send dirty air and trash? And that dirt in the air eventually will have an impact on the beings that rely on it? You can't sit in a closed room and smoke until the air is thick and not have a physical reaction, why would you think we could belch crap into the air for 100 years with no consequence? Sometimes, I think you just like being Opposite Guy.

Well you can hang your self up on catastrophes and stall any personal progress you can offer in a mire of scepticism. Or you can just say well I'm just going to live as green as is possible for my family and will do my part in helping out the environment. You're right the solutions have been around for some time and yes as time marches on different problems will rise. Some greater than others, but the point is just live as green as you can. Don't do anything more or less just do what you can.

I agree that "green living" has been areound for decades. First it was wrapped up in making the earth cleaner, then it was wrapped up in saving the environment (Save the trees, rain forest, etc..), and now it's wrapped up in global warming. Same message, different catastrophe.

I remember when I was in elementary school we had "the recycle lady" who was supposedly in to green living. She made her husband ride a bike like 5 miles to work everyday, but she would drive an SUV like 5 blocks. She was an interesting character...

UnDave green living has been around long before the global warming craze. Green living has multiple benefits and effects multiple areas of society in different ways. What I'm saying is if global warming can be effected by green living we really don't have to do anything extra than what green living has been suggesting we do for the environment in the first place. In my opinion to say green living is not necessary because man does not cause global warming is dangerously implying to people that we don't have to make any green lifestyle changes because global warming is not caused by people. Well if they buy that opinion then what their doing is ignoring all the other benefits green living has to offer. If you don't believe in global warming I really couldn't give two flies. If you don't believe in taking care of the environment you're nuts.

If someone wants me to do something because it's healthier, then tell me to do it because it's healthier, don't try to tie it to some global catastrophe.

Well UnDave the beautiful thing about doing things to fight global warming is that whether its caused by man or not its still a healthier way to live with benefits that will not only impact you but you're community as well.

Well, there is a scientist in Russia who claims that the changes are caused by changes to the sun, due to similar climactic changes happening on Mars...I read about it in National Geograpic a year or so ago. Managed to find it on their website, if anyone is interested in his view/analysis of climate data from Mars. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2007/02/070228-mars-warming.html

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I thought there wasn't any real proof that the earth's warming trend has been caused by humans. What do we need to fix, if we aren't the cause?
