Lili, that is precisely the type of source I was hoping for in the first place. Well done.

Actually, I don't care if YOU agree with ME.

One, bumper sticker slogans? And two, why do you keep repeating and summarizing? I read it the first time. Capital letters aren't going to suddenly make me agree with you.

True Song, I wasn't lying. I was saying goodbye to YOU. You bullied into a perfectly calm discussion with your bumper sticker slogans. Next time take the time to read before opening mouth. Comment 142 repeated: "That's it ladies. :mob: I cannot believe the hypocricy on the left and that is exactly why some of the charlatans in your party GO AFTER OUR CHILDREN'S MINDS because any thinking adult would find this outrageous behavior in our schools (only one example) disgusting."

Ahh, thank you for that, Lil!

Thanks, Lili. That is a source I can take seriously.

Yes, Pam you called us all idiots. Who were you quoting there? "Can you blame them for wanting to share something they (myself included) feel is so crucial?" I actual don't want someone "sharing" this with me, I know where to find it if I want to. But cultural conservatives such as Pam aren't trying to share, but rather make us all live under their beliefs.

There are links at the bottom of the article that details what the classes are about. It's available for parents to see and make an informed decision.

The sex ed curriculum in Montgomery County Schools was not trying to promote anal sex or any other kind of sex. Students have to have their parents permission to attend the classes. So if you disagree with what they'll teach in those 4 classes, don't give your permission. http://www.rockvillecentral.com/2008/02/montgomery-county-public-schools-sex-ed.html

Carrie Sue, no need to make apologies for me. I am very proud of the research I did on this thread. Furthermore, what my religion is really isn't anyone's business.as for why I said "I won..." just quoting the Prez. Thought you guys would figure that out.Obama to the Republicans: “I won”.Finally, there is a scripture that comes to mind here- something about casting pearl...

Maybe it was me that missed something, em :)I was just speaking of conversion from the Christian standpoint in general. However, once that person becomes a Christian, and begins to follow Biblical standards, it's pretty hard to ignore the parts that disagree with homosexuality.

" mich, with all due respect, I don't think you read the article I posted or my last post.I proved my point. "It sounds more like you didn't read my posts. I said I agree that educators can be overly leftist and try to convert students to their point of view, but that it was a totally irrelevant point as to whether cultural conservatism is wrong. I mean, honestly, what does liberal education have to do with cultural conservatism? But I don't expect a real answer to that question, clearly you've already 'won' this conversation.

I'm sorry, in this context/thread I thought "conversion" was being equated to that of homosexuals, not of non-Christians to Christians. Or did I miss something again? Sorry if I did! :?:

Wow...this debate/discussion has taken a pretty childish turn from both sides. Talking in terms of "I win you lose" tells me you don't care about the people you're talking to (in which case you shouldn't even be involved) or the topic...at least not enough really consider what they're saying instead of blowing them off with flippant answers which only give them an understandably negative view towards both you and the religion you represent (if it's Christianity, I hereby appologize). As for the meat of this debate (if there really is any), I can only speak for Christians were conversion is concerned. When a person becomes a Christian, it means they truly believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross 2,000 years ago and rose again in atonement for our sins, and that he is the only way to get to heaven. If they TRULY believe this, then of course they are going to want to spread the word that there is life after death, and a decision each person must make as to their destination (heaven or hell). Can you blame them for wanting to share something they (myself included) feel is so crucial?

Pamela, Weren't you the one, just a couple mere pages back commending everyone on the mature conversation taking place? And then you go turn it around when someone thought that your source was incredibly biased? How did it go from "Good job acting like adults, everyone" to "I'm the winner! You all disgust me!"?
