I found a 3" earthworm in my glass of water over the summer. It may have been a gift from my daughter though.

For anyone having problems with the chlorine in the water used for cooking, use stale water. Leave your water in an open recipient between 4 hours to 1 day, that will get rid of the remaining chlorine.

Our water here in Austin takes suspiciously like limestone and chlorine. I'm not sure how people can stand the taste. In fact, I've the amount of chlorine will kill most baking yeast cultures. It does make some pretty good beer though, if you're willing to put up with slower fermentation because of the chlorination.

Momma, bottled water is not regulated nearly as much as tap water. Furthermore, it really is just tap water from somewhere else (most likely in the country). If you are pouring it at a high flowrate, then the cloudiness probably is just pressure. Yes very small amounts of drugs are in water because it is ridiculously difficult to remove the millions of drugs that are washed down the drain. They are also in bottled water. However, in the US, they usually exist in such small amounts that chances of getting harmed (e.g. cancer or some other problem) are very slight. It really depends on where you are. Drug removal is a big topic in Environmental Engineering right now, so removal should be better soon.

My water comes out cloudy and then becomes clear..weird. Someone told me it was the pressure that made little oxygen bubbles inside of it. :shrugs: Either way I dont drink it. I buy Bottled water

My water tastes pretty good. i have taken a tour of our water waste treatment facility and they said that rx drugs of all sorts are found, but they test for any elevated levels that can cause drug interactions. The military tested our water for cocaine and meth and found negligible amounts. I think our city does a great job maintaining our utilities.

TYPO ALERT drugged your drink. Find out what drugs you are taking each time you turn on the tap. — Good

Our water here in Philly is pretty disgusting, its cloudy when it comes out of the tap. I wish I lived in DC, Bush got their water to be pristine.

Many people believe that hormones in the water from birth control is a majore factor in girls hitting puberty and menstruating earlier. Yes, good for the Unitarians acknowledging what most reasonable people already know. Teens are having sex whether parents like it or not. So let's give them the information necessary to protect themselves.

My water is awful. If I don't use my Brita pitcher, it's disgusting. My cat won't even drink the water if it comes from the tap.
I know a report came out last year about anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs being found in Arlington's drinking water. Also, earlier this year, my drinking water took a severe turn for the worse. It had a major chlorine taste to the point that it tasted like pool water. They finally came to test it and said it was very high in chlorine and ammonia, and they'd fix it. Ha!

Good for the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ! Can't Joe the Plumber just go away now? I hope my Brita filter gets some of those drugs out of my water.
