Anne Maly and Elias beautifully incorporated the bride's Cambodian traditions and the groom's North American background in their Montreal wedding. It was a day filled with family, exotic food, and multiple exquisite outfit changes for the bride — she wore four different dresses! French Canadian photographer Bonnallie Brodeur captured it all and tells us more about this multicultural wedding [paraphrased to take into account translation]:
"Quebec is a place full of surprises. It is completely full of color and a place where cultures meet and mingle. This is what makes this province a treasure and makes for happy photographers! Anne Maly is Cambodian and wanted to integrate her culture in a more traditional wedding. The day began when the wedding procession had left the house of the groom to head to where the bride prepared. There was a crowd in the streets and all arms were loaded with presents and hearts overflowing with love. After the traditional Cambodian wedding rituals, the couple continued their ceremony in a more conventional way. The reception was held at Crowne Plaza Hotel and lasted well into the night."
He adds, "Their marriage breathed happiness and love from A to Z. Have you noticed the way they look at each other? Their eyes sparkled as much as their hearts and it was so beautiful to see!"
See it all now!
