Chris Matthews Admits: MSNBC Bosses Were "Basically Pro-War" In a speech at Harvard's Institute of Politics on Monday, Chris Matthews admitted that MSNBC bosses were "basically pro-war during the war." The remark came in a larger discussion of top-down editorial control at the network — of which Matthews claimed there was none, citing the fact that many of his bosses supported Hillary Clinton while he has been very vocal for Obama.

You have to have been living in a cave to think any news outlet was not overtly pushing the war. In fact, they were actually reporting known lies so that the Administration could quote them as sources. The amount of media manipulation in the country is staggering.

Does Chris think the war is over? I don't think it's surprising he says there was no top-down editorial control - they don't usually come in to the studio and tell you what to say and Matthews didn't stray from acceptable anywhere but Fox. If he became rabidly anti-war (and don't even try it: he isn't RABIDLY against this war), or started touting Nader, he might have noticed some input from above.
