375 Reasons Why Being a '90s Girl Rocked Our Jellies Off

Dear Poll: Do You Feel Better With Age?

Whenever I see talk shows or read interviews with celebrities, I constantly hear them say that they feel better with age. Oprah has said on numerous occasions that she really came into herself at age 50, and the younger generation strongly suggests that 30 is when you have the confidence to be the real you. Sure, the older I get the more secure I feel, but who likes getting old?

Demi Moore proves that age shouldn't get you down, as do Madonna, Michelle Pfeiffer, and we can't leave out George Clooney! So ladies, what I want to know is, do you feel like you get better with age?

I am 44 now. I looked my best at 38 or 39 I think. I don't know about feeling "better." I feel about the same. My 20's were tough. I was tired then. I graduated college and I had my first few jobs and I barely survived. Most of those years I was lonely too.At 30 I was married and had some higher paying jobs. As far as money and security goes I felt "better." Sometimes I felt that I was still learning and transitioning. Through my thirties I worked and had a baby. I don't know if I ever looked worse after the baby. I had to lose 70 pounds and I grew tired from working through those years as well. Now forties have come and I look pretty good. A lot of women really let themselves go. No matter what though, exercise and a positive attitude will make you feel better than whatever age you are. The thing with age is, you will compare yourself to others your age. If you are 20, you will compare with others in their 20's. If your in your 30's you will compare to women in their 30's. When your in your 40's you will start comparing yourself to others in their 40's. You will also find yourself surroundedby the opposite sex in the same age group as well. They will no longer be looking at your dress or your heels so much. They will be more interested in what you do for fun and then also tomorrow is your future, not ten years from now.

aimeeb, 26 and no wrinkles?? lol I hope you don't have any wrinkles this soon. I got my first wrinkle (laugh lines) around my mouth when I was 38. I quickly got rid of them ;)

Smarter and knowing more how the world works, YES. Physically and sharper mentally, No.

I actually think I might! I just turned 31 last week and I'm so okay with it. I'm happier than I've ever been in my life. And that's the most important thing to me. Plus I know that I still look like I'm 20, people almost fall over when I tell them how old I really am. That definitely makes getting older much more bearable.

I'm (barely) 23 so I can't really answer, but so far, definitely. I actually can't wait to turn 30. My parents and grandparents have all aged well and I take very good care of myself (plus I'm not adverse to a subtle nip or tuck in later years!) so I'm not worried about the physical part. As far as I can see all that leaves is looking forward to becoming the person I will be, and enjoying more experiences in life. And growing up a bit! Although everyone always says you never actually feel any older on the inside. Sounds great to me, bring it on! :) To me, 50 is when you just START to get "older". 30 is a spring chicken, and 40 is barely starting to mature. Us 20-somethings are just those silly little things that run around frantically trying to work out this mystery called life. :p

I turned 36 this year. Mentally, I still feel like the sexy girl I was at 21. Physically, I think my age is creeping up on me a little bit. I definitely feel more confident then I did when I was younger.

I'm not a person who thinks about age much - my own or anyone else's - but I look better than I ever did, feel better than I ever did, and have more confidence than I ever did. This getting older business isn't bad at all.

Yes, I'm aging very well. Even my family doctor said so. Also, my life keeps getting better, too. :)

i picked other because at 24 i don't think i'm old enough to really answer. of course i do feel better than when i was in my teens but i don't think that says much. but i do kind of fear getting older. it just goes by way too fast for my liking.

With each passing birthday, I freak out a little more. Where's my life slipping away to? However, I will admit that as I've grown older, I've become a much more confident, well-rounded and much calmer person.

I'm 26 this year and I'm not looking forward to it, no wrinkles.

I definately think I look better now at 28 than I did at 21 or 22. And I can't wait to be in my 30s. I really have enjoyed my 20s, but I'm ready to move on!!!!

Becoming old is a Blessing, this is why we need to live our lives to the fullest. You can't be 21 forever, enjoy it and move on. I am sooo pumped whenever my birthday comes around. We need to celebrate life and realize how beautiful that gift is. As I get older I am realizing who I am, the responsibilities are getting harder but hey, its part of life.

More confident, yes? Sexier, yes. Not so happy with how difficult it is to keep my thighs in reasonably good shape, though. ;)

no no no the celeberties are rich.

I'm not rich at all, aujah :) Quite the opposite most of the time! There are always going to be struggles, I think. What I appreciate about being a little bit older is that I've got a better perspective and attitude towards those struggles. (Sometimes.)

I'm 24 so I don't have much experience with aging, but I like myself more now than I did 5, 10 years ago. Everything seems to be coming together, and I'm happy with who I am. I hope this continues.

I have so much more confidence with myself not that I'm 30. I'm not as afraid to ask for what I want in all places (work, home, bed, money, etc...) I hope things keep getting better because my 20s weren't all that hot.
