definitely split up for the holidays. It's family time, and I don't see them as often so I don't think it's a big deal to be separate for the holidays.

With me being Canadian and my husband American, we get two Thanksgivings! And we don't have to split anytime. Free holidays :-)

if they both live close, then you can hit up both houses. but if their is travel involved, the you alternate years. but if you're just kinda dating, and it's not on engagement level, then it's cool if you spend it apart. Maybe this is because i don't bring guys around i am very serious with them, and i wouldn't wanna sit in his mom's face unless i was a potential fiance, you know?

Well, most of our family lives in Texas, thousands of miles away from NYC, so we just spend Thanksgiving with his brother, who lives in NJ. For Christmas, I go home to mine for a couple of days, but he has to work here so he has Christmas with his brother's family.

We werent going to have a huge crowd at my parents house this year, so my husbands parents invited us all to their house. Until we got married we spent Thanksgiving with our respective families.

This was the first year we have only gone to his parents and not mine, but we usually end up going to mine. My parents are divorced so I have at least two of every major holiday and he only have one that doesn't last very long.

we spend thanksgiving apart. i know a lot of people are against this, but its important to both of us to spend our holidays with our own families. we decided that it isn't worth the arguing on who's family we visit, and its worked just fine for two thanksgivings. we spend time with each other's families on other occasions, and so far we've had no problems!

My boyfriend swings by my house in the morning to say hi, and then goes to his family, and then after I eat (and nap!) I swing by his parents house to do the same. We feel that if we get married down the line, then that's when we'll worry about spending thanksgiving and other holidays at one or the other's. Until that point, we both want to appreciate our time with our families!

BOTH! My family usually does Thanksgiving "dinner" around lunchtime (so they can munch on the food for the rest of the day lol), and then we go to his family's house for Thanksgiving "dinner" at dinner time! It works out so perfectly! And my family has always done dinner that early so it's not like I had to ask them to change the routine or anything~ I'm lucky!

My partner is Scottish and obviously doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving, so this year we're with my folks and spend the holidays back in Scotland. It's his first Thanksgiving, which after years of Hogmany and St Andrews day, I think is long overdue!

my boyfriend's family is in NJ and my entire family is here in Virginia. so we've just been spending the holidays with our own families. Thanksgiving partly because i work in retail so i definitely have to be at work early Friday morning! but next year i told him i'd come up with him to NJ for Turkey Day.

This year, we were thankkfully able to do both! My parents had to postpone our dinner to the next weekend (they had a fundrasier to do Thanksgiving night). And my boyfriends parents postponed it to the day AFTER thanksgiving! So we had one ourselves, then went to each others parents place :)
