9 of the Best Compliments You Can Give to a Woman

Dear Poll: Would You Rather Date a Total Stranger or Someone You Already Know?

It's an ongoing debate — whether it's better to date a complete stranger or someone you already know. I prefer to date someone I've never met before but who I can make a connection with — knowing people in common just makes me feel more protected. Each option has its ups and downs, but I happen to think dating outside your circle of friends is more exciting; you can start from scratch without having preconceived notions about each other. Of course dating a man you know is easier, it could turn out to be even harder in the long run if things don't work out. No one way is better so tell me, which do you prefer?

a guy i already know. doesnt necessarily mean a friend. i would never just date a total stranger. i first should get to know someone to date one.

Me and my boyfriend have known each other for nearly two years. He knew pretty much everything about me before we got together. No surprises. ;p

Someone I already know. At least I'm comfortable with them and I know them well enough that I don't have to worry about who they really are.

a stranger - I love the excitement, the butterflies, the roller coaster, the getting to know each other. It's fun! :)

I wouldn't want to date a friend or a guy I've known for a while. I think it's sexy for a guy to come up to me, talk to me, and if we both click, to ask for my number. So, for a friend, that boat has already sailed.

Someone I know or Someone I've heard of; a total stranger sort-of creeps me out unless we meet as friends a few times before an actual date.

Dating (at least to me) is always awkward regardless of who is it with.Athough I would do with out more comfortably with someone who I already know, otherwise I'd be too suspicious about the fact that he or she may be a total psycho!

i prefer a stranger - i love getting to know someone... recently - i tried dating someone i knew already - went to high school with 10+ years ago - and it's weird - especially - because he thinks he already knows me -- it's hard when there's these preconceived notions of who you are on a first date...

Someone I know. My current guy and I met in college when I was 18 and he was 21. I actually couldn't stand him when we first me. But we became friends and hung in the same group for years then it turned to something more about 10 months ago.

After dating one crazy after another, I went out with the son of old family friends that my parents didnt really see all that often anymore. Now we are married and its awesome, the parents get along, there is no fighting about where we will spend holidays and such, sometimes we even do holidays all together. So we didnt really know each other, but we knew of each others families- it was nice to already know what he had been up to before we got together

If you date someone you already know the if you guys break up it screws up the great friendship you had before. It also makes it awkward for your mutual friends. Besides, getting to know each other IS alot of fun!
