Dear Poll: Are You Good With Change?

Change makes the world go round and it enables us to grow and learn more about ourselves, but change can be terrifying for some. While I appreciate the lessons learned once the change has occurred, as a creature of habit, I have to admit that I don't handle it very well. What about you? Are you good with change?

Usually change ticks me off. Usually.

I'm definitely a creature of habit. I can't stand it when my schedule changes around or something goes wrong with my plans.

In this economy and this state I am not a fan of the unknown.

I like change...but only on my terms! :) The last 5-7 years I've been in such a good place job, apartment, school-wise that there hasn't been a good reason to change. I feel so blah, I think I need to start traveling to get that "change excitement" instead of making life changes that aren't necessary!

Some changes I adapt to very well...since being married a couple of years ago we've had to move a couple of times and these didn't bother me too much. However, take away my drink of choice and you'd better watch out! That's not a change I can live with! :-)

I need to be in a constant state of change, or I get bored and anxious.

I've moved overseas and across the country several times, and done lots of career and school changes, so I guess part of me likes it. I do love traveling and exploring, and I get a bit antsy when stuck in one city for very long (like now).

Change can be exciting but for the most part I like routine. It's comfortable. Guess I'm a bit boring in that sense. *shrug*

I hate change. I like to always know what to expect. I am reasonable too. I recognize when things need to change but if things don't need changing I'm not doing it for the fun of it.

LoL, I thought this would be an article about pennies, nickels, and dimes. Well change should be fun, I think what people fear most is that they're probably heading into change all alone. Really, if you can find a good job and are financially stable or secure, why should change really be scary. It's more of a social matter I think, but I totally look forward to moving halfway across the world as a potential one day.

I love change and often seek it out.

Same here, simplyfab. Sometimes I just go with it though... I find if I can get through something like a major change, it makes me a stronger person in the end :)

No, not a big fan of change. I freak out easily. I like sticking to the norm.

I love change... in fact, crave it. If I'm in the same place for too long, I tend to feel stagnant, and it's an awful feeling for me.

I love small changes, like wardrobe or decor or hair, but I HATE life changes. I'm still adjusting to my move out of state - 7 months later. Also, my job causes major stress because there is a lot of turnover - I get used to working with someone and they leave! The benefit of that is I've made more friends, but it sucks for the workplace.

I think it depends. What notinthehood said applies to me pretty well. :)

you know i always seem to roll with change pretty well. Maybe it's just because my parents raised me to be realistic. If i can't change the circumstances why bother getting upset about them?

I'm totally fine with new haircuts, new living space, different vehicles, cities, assignments at work, etc. But there are a few core things that I hate changing... my "inner circle" of friends, my job as a whole, the balance in my bank account (big purchases scare me!), and anything I have to report on my taxes.
