Did You Have Sex on Your Wedding Night?

Weddings can be exhausting, especially your own. After hours of being "on" — not to mention months of planning — I can imagine just wanting to plop down on your postnuptial bed and zonk out.

But if there's any night when "I'm tired" should be no excuse, your wedding night would be it. Especially if you've saved yourself for marriage! So, to the wives out there: did you manage to make it to the sex portion of your wedding night? Be sure to share your tips with us.

If you are planning a wedding, happily wed, or looking for Mr. Right, start sharing your big day with our community. Just check the wedding content box on your post.

We did, even though we left the reception at 5am and had danced nonstop for hours!

I'm not married yet, but if worse comes to worse and I do get my period I think I'll just mess with my birth control (skip the period week) and there we go. =) lol. Problem solved.

I totally agree kismekate! I do think that is prude at all to the comment below. Everyone knows the couple is obviously going to make love so why call it out?

We didn't, I had strep throat and I was so sick. We weren't even supposed to do the whole "kiss the bride" thing but we had to do that! We couldn't do it for about a week after our wedding.

We talked about this the other night, someone mentioned that the statistic was like 30% don't do the deed. I'm not married yet, but I always wondered at the weddings that I've been to how one might have the energy afterwards. One couple I was with said they made a great effort because they might regret it otherwise.

We didn't that night. We stayed up late watching movies and talking. We did it the next morning, once we were both rested.

We did but it wasn't spectacular. We were tired but felt we just had to do it.

I'm so afraid I'm going to start my period right before my wedding day or on my honeymoon. That would suck. I'm not married yet, but it wouldn't matter to me whether or not we did it, it would depend on my mood. It's not something I'm set on, if it happens it happens.

I am not married but I am pretty sure I will not have sex on my wedding night. Besides exhaustion, I couldn't do it knowing that everyone I know would know what I am doing. It might sound strange but it freaks me out.

I afree with Kismekate. It is rude. You dont have to announce that your gonna get laid to everyone. Yeah... go do your thing but be classy about it. and believe me, I can be hood! but I understand, that is not cute.

I started hemorraging a few days before my wedding (it stopped the day before) and i found out a few days later i had miscarried. i was not allowed to have sex during my wedding night, drs orders, but we watched a men in black marathon and ate popcorn and m&ms. my husband made it fun and special even if we couldn't make love.

Why isn't there a 'not married, show me the results' option? A full 33% said no though. That really surprises me.
