Do Tell: Do You Take Your Friends' Advice?

Friends are a great treasure to have but when we want nothing but the best for the people we love, they can oftentimes be overprotective and bossy, especially when it comes to personal lives. Since love can be blinding sometimes, we should all be thankful to have trusted confidants looking out for us, even if you don't always see eye to eye. So ladies, let me ask you, do you take your friends' advice into consideration when figuring out matters of the heart?

I think a true friend is one who doesn't just tell you what you want to hear, but is there to support whatever decision you make, be it in relationships or whatever. If you end up getting hurt by your own decision, they should also be there to get you back up on your feet. The fact is, NO one will truly understand a situation when its dealing with YOUR own heart. You've just gotta follow it and not let outsiders opinions persuade you too much.

Yes, if I need advice and I've turned to them for help, I know that they'll give me valuable feedback.

Of course I do. I am lucky enough to have some very close friends who always look out for my best interest and never make me feel any less for mistakes I may make. They are always 100% supportive and always accepting of my decisions in the end.

The only opinion that matters to me is my own.

To be completely honest, I rarely do because at the end of the day I'm the only person who knows what will make ME happy. If I make a decision based on someone else's thought, then I might regret it. I rather use my own head and try to resolve my problems with great objectivity. I'm very independant on that level.

Nope, not when it comes to matter of the heart. I'm more in touch with my heart than they are.

It depends, both on the friend, and the advice! I always take what people say into consideration, but the bottom line is I'm never going to do something just because someone tells me to.
