375 Reasons Why Being a '90s Girl Rocked Our Jellies Off

Do Tell: Have You Ever Lied to Get Out of a Fight?

There are certain rules we all know: Communication is key and honesty is the best policy. But sometimes, anything seems easier than fighting with your partner, including telling him a little white lie. Now I don't condone lying, but I think sometimes avoiding a confrontation with a lie is probably better than having the confrontation to begin with. But what do you think? Do tell ladies, have you ever lied to get out of an argument? If so, what was it?

I don't ever lie to my husband to get out of a fight. That's not the way it works for us or our relationship. We are pretty much free to say what we have to say, and always with respect, whether we agree on something or not.

I don't condone lieing at all but if you need tell a small one to avoid a blow out, I think it's okay. DreaASt my example would be, "Did you remember to take out the trash..." "Oh ya..." And then you run out to do it. Hahahaha.

Bleh, sometimes I lie to my father. He's overly conservative, the type that wanted his daughter to save herself for marriage. Well, I saved myself for the right man and I'm marrying him. Still, we had premarital relations and that won't sit well with him. I know if my father knew he'd and I would get in to a terrible argument and possibly a short estrangement. I do not want that and so only my mother and brother know and keep it amongst themselves. Hehe.

You don't condone lying, but little lies to get out of confrontations are fine. Really? I can't even think of an example of this. Not just for me, but for anyone.
