Do Tell: Is Super Bowl Sunday a Good Time to Meet Guys?

When a guy is totally into the game, chances are he'll be oblivious to the girls around him, but fair weather fans might take notice! The Super Bowl is not only one of the biggest sporting events of the year, but it's also a day to overindulge, which means parties will be plentiful. And while it's not typically considered a day to meet guys, I happen to think it's a perfect time to stumble upon an eligible bachelor, and in his element to boot! What do you think —are you with me on this one?

Super Bowl night is just not the day to meet guys, unless you go to a gay bar looking for a friend. You wouldn't even be able to jump in front of the TV naked.

Probably not. If he's paying attention to the game he's not paying attention to you and who wants to be a football widow?

I hate superbowl except the commercials that are extremely enlightening to my marketing and creative mind. :)

I met my husband at a super bowl party 5 years ago. Best Super Bowl party I've ever been to and I didn't even know who was playing. ;)

Teehee, I hope he notices my new perfume while he's watching the big game! And I also hope he notices that I made him a bunch of super special delicious appetizers for him and his buddies... me and my girlfriends will be giggling in the kitchen during the game. teehee!

I'm sorry, I miswrote that. itsheathermfruth, I didn't realize that *actually* knowing things about sports made us not girls. I mean, since *pretending* to know things about sports makes us not girls, girls who actually know sports? So masculine! :oy:

itsheathermfruth, I didn't realize that pretending to know jack about sports made me "not a girl!" But then again, it is 1950s month on Sugar, apparently.

The only thing they'll be pitching a tent for is for that ball in the field.

I'm with Jude, what's with the revival of 1950 here on DearSugar? Thank goodness she's here to tell us it's OK to plan our Superbowl outfit, and how singles can SURVIVE that hideously difficult day, Valentine's day. Very silly. And allow me to assure you that, no matter how cute, funny, or sexy you are, if a man is truly into the game, you'll just come off as annoying if you try to talk to him while the game is on.

No thanks! That would increase my chances of marrying a man who loves football, and I'd rather decrease those chances.

If you know how to play the field right guys will notice you. Be into the game and know what you're talking about, you don't have to be an expert but if you now like 5 simple points about both teams guys love it. Act like one of the guys and have fun it works for me every year. Learn to take a joke and be ready with good insults when guys start trash talking. It's actually a lot of fun not to act like a girl...
