Do Tell: What Invention Could you not Live Without?

Since we live in such a tech heavy society, it's hard to believe we got by without cell phones, the internet, digital camera's, debit cards, Tivo, IPods, etc. While staying connected is incredibly important to me, ladies, do tell, what invention could you just not live without?

cell phone, wireless internet, computers, debit cards, ATM's, cameras...seriously, there are so many things i can't live without. but for the ONE and ONLY thing...it'd have to be cell phone. all my contacts, appointments, notes, texts, pictures, music...it's like my mini life manager.

My debit card - which in Canada is as ubiquitous as Tim Horton's. It's been around for more than 15 years and is accepted pretty much everywhere, including those guys that sell fruit on the side if the highway. Canadians are pretty addicted to their debit cards!

I'm pretty fond of my toilet. We're buds. W see each other regularly :rotfl: Take my phone. take my computer, take my flat iron (idk how to use it anyway). I feel realy attached to tvs of all kinds, music players, and clocks. I am a time freak and need to know what time it is at any given moment.

The internet ... I won't have it this weekend because of some stupid planned network meltdown and I'm seriously having a near anxiety attack over it ... it's so crucial for me to have the access, in terms of writing my MA dissertation, applying to jobs, staying in contact with my family since I'm overseas, etc. I'm hyperventilating just thinking about it! (just kidding) ;P

Electricity, indoor plumbing, running water and air conditioning. I could live without internet or TV, but I couldn't live without everything I mentioned.

I could do without a lot of things. I could throw my computer, dishwasher, cell phone and everything gadgety away and be perfectly fine. Giddy, even. But some hippie friends of mine lived in a place without running water, and they were constantly lugging buckets of water, heating them on the stove for baths etc. And a different set of hippie friends lived without elecricity 4 days a week. So I can honestly say I would be unhappy without running water or electricity. I do not see an Amish future for myself.

besides the basics like electricity and indoor plumbing? Air conditioning. Gadget/tech wise, I'd be lost without the Internet.
