Do Tell: What's Your Most Embarrassing Walk of Shame Story?

Do Tell: What's Your Most Embarrassing Walk of Shame Story?

Apparently, the "walk of shame" wasn't as shameful in the '70s, back when they sold special pantsuits for the occasion. But nowadays, we women aren't quite as enthused to drag ourselves home in the harsh light of day still dressed up for a night out. But don't worry: there's a kit for that.

I had a friend in college who dressed up as a Catholic school girl for Halloween, stayed over at a guy's place, and had to walk home in her skirt and knee socks the next morning. What's the most embarrassing walk home you've had from a previous night's hookup? Were you wearing a ridiculous getup or did you run into someone you'd rather not run into? Just a quick question: does no one carry a brush or makeup in your purse??!? It would be easy to brush out your hair and throw on some pressed powder, at least.

I remember once I came back from a boyfriend's in college. I had on a dress and heels and I'm sure some melted makeup and bed head hair for sure. Plus I think some high heels on that had stains from spilled drinks and only God knows what. I had a hicky or bruise or something on my neck. I just got through lecturing my room mate I wasn't sleeping with him and then she pointed out that my dress was on inside out.

i went out on a very warm night in early march in these cute little kitten heeled flip flop type shoes... just really flimsy little nothing shoes. and i also wore a frilly mini skirt and a jean jacket. stayed over at a guys house and the next morning we wake up and its SNOWING outside like a crazy storm; icy and windy and the like. it was quite a walk home to say the least slipping and sliding and trying to stay warm in my stupid and poorly thought out get-up. and the worst part was my mother drove by me because she was coming to pick me up from school for the weekend but she didnt know it was me. luckily she stopped off somewhere first to get something before coming to my house so i had time to hurry home, put pajamas on and jump in my bed and pretend i'd been home the whole time. LOL what a nightmare

My friend and I went out for Halloween one year. Leaving the bar, we followed this guy back to his hotel which ended up NOT being a couple of blocks away, and it was snowing. I was dressed a little more conservative (for halloween), but my friend was clad quite scantily and we had cars stopping to pick us up, ugh. We made it back to our own hotel in time for breakfast, so we decided to sit down for a bagel and creeped out a table of older women. No hooking up was actually involved that night, but still shameful.

I got smashed at a Halloween party and realized too late that I had forgotten my keys. I crashed at a friend's house who loaned me a set of her husband's pajamas to wear home (in lieu of my costume, which involved a corset). My roommates were going out, so I asked them to hide some keys in the bushes next to our door. I looked like a moron standing in a bush in pajamas and black stilettos fishing around for keys.

I've probably mentioned this on other threads, but my best next-morning homecoming involved walking into my friend's house and taking my coat off only to find I was naked underneath... we were laughing so hard trying to figure out what had happened to my dress until I found it in my purse :P classic weffie hahaha

I went out dancing with my friend one night and ended up crashing at her place because I was too drunk to drive home. I overslept the next morning and had to rush to an 8 am class without having time to change or shower. I had on a semi sheer black shirt that not only dipped low, but showed the belly, a black bra, and super tight/low ride jeans with the knee high black stiletto boots. I walk into class (a class of about 15 guys and only 2 other girls) and they're all eyeing me up and laughing, thinking the worst. Even the professor made a joke about my attire. Not really a walk of shame, but most people probably didn't believe I my excuse for why I hadn't made it home.

I went to a fraternity party from freshman year of college and ended up staying the night with this boy a couple of floors down from my dorm room. I woke up the next morning looking quite a fright. I was so groggy, I had my heels in my hand, mascara dripping down my face, hair a mess..and started walking up the flight of stairs to get back to my room. It was a Saturday morning, and an entire tour group was coming down the stairs while I was going up them. Parents and potential students galore. I had to push past them (and their giggles), in order to get up to my room. Awful!
