Do Tell: Would You Do Anything Differently?

Tony Parker and Eva Longoria have unfortunately had a rough start to their marriage. In case you've missed all the headlines, Tony's been accused of cheating on his wife within days of saying "I do." Since this is all speculation of course, they've been going about their daily business like nothing ever happened; although, who knows what's happening behind closed doors!

Since the media is a constant force in Hollywood, it's incredibly difficult to keep your private life private, so it seems like stepping out with a smile on your face is the best way to squash all the rumors. As onlookers, it's easy to say what you would do if you were in their shoes, so ladies, here's your chance. Do tell, if you were Eva Longoria, how would you handle this situation? Would you do as they did and make a statement denying the allegations, or would you avoid the media all together and keep these issues completely to yourself until you got all the facts?

I don't know much about Eva and tony (i love Eva, but the other day i couldn't think of his name to save my life). all i know is that he plays basketball, and they broke up, then they were married in Paris, and i didn't like her dress. . . .i think they are doing the right thing PR-wise.i don't feel like she put their relationship out there that much; i mean, do we know how often they have sex, or what makes her orgasm???i think ppl tend to look too deep into things.

I think they're handling it perfectly well they made a statement to the public because they are public figures and have dropped it since and gone on about their business. Like Dear Sugar said who knows what's going on behind closed doors but they're dealing with that and working it out privately the point is they're staying toguether and working it out toguether and letting the world know it.

ACTUALLY, they're suing ...who is it..x17online??...for spreading that RUMOR...I think TMZ got in on it and found the woman who was claiming to have slept with Tony...the video of the woman admiting to it was a fake..they had used a model to read the woman's "story" so that it would look like they had it on film...something like that... If i could only remember where I read that! but of course...nobody cares about the "thruth"..so it didn't make any waves!!!

First, Eva should not have taken their private life so public. She invited the scrutiny. Now she has to deal with it.

They enjoyed the publicity. I mean, was anyone going to die by not seeing them as a united front? Did they really need to go on their own publicity tour, acting chummy? Don't put on a show.

Sorry to say it but I agree with everyone. Eva started the ball rolling on their private life when the relationship first began. I was really surprised that Tony went through with the wedding at all. Not that he does not love her, but who wants all the drama. Now we see the "chickens are coming home to roost." I sure hope he did cheat on her, but who knows. Eva, like many women forget that men do not dig women who try to run their lives. We should know we hate that too.

I wouldnt have married a dude who had only just turned 25 and was 7 years younger than me, no matter how much I felt we connected. I'd be too worried he wasnt ready to settle down and still had too many changes to go through.

If I were in Eva & Tony's situation, consider that their entire relationship and marriage has very much been in the public eye, I would have done the same thing they did. I think that because of the way their relationship & wedding has been portrayed in the media (they sold their wedding pictures to a tabloid), if they had not made a statement the situation would be a huge deal & people would believe it to be true. However I would never choose to have my life like that. While I am not a celebrity, nor would I ever want that, I believe that the majority of the people we see in tabloids and on the internet are there because they get some sort of satisfaction out of the attention they receive from the media. I think it takes a certain type of person to want that kind of lifestyle, and I definitely wouldn't want it. But if that's your think - the more power to you.

I would have kept my big mouth shut and not made my relationship so public. Yes, it is difficult but it can be done. I think public statements are stupid and your private life is none of anyone's business plus who cares what the general public thinks. All that matters is that you are true to yourself and your partner.

Celebrity or not, I would check all the facts before I say anything, even to my best friend.

I can completely understand why she wanted to make a statement in this situation. This had to be humiliating and very hurtful since she always seems pretty open with the public. And these are serious allegations when you JUST got married. I personally wouldn't have made a statement specifically to NOT give people the satisfaction, but I love the way they've handled it otherwise.

I think she's "handling" it perfectly by not handling it at all. They are continuing to live their lives the way they want to.

If I was Eva (who made their relationship and marriage very public), I would do what she's doing. However, realistically, I wouldn't be in Eva's shoes. I'm private about my personal life, even though I'm a not a celebrity.

I also wonder why celebs bother confirming or denying this stuff. Why do they care what the general public thinks? Despite a statement from their reps, people come to their own conclusion. I think you just have to smile and go on about your business. The celeb couples that last are the ones that manage to stay out of the headlines. Look at Tom and Rita.

I can't answer, I wouldn't be in their shoes. I have no "fame-worthy" talents that would be put in the public spotlight in the first place.
