Obviously, there are ways to do more - we should keep trying before we shrug off more lives.

"New Yorks's US Senators have introduced legislation that would grant posthumous citizenship to the victims of last week's shootings in Binghampton." It might be a more meaningful tribute to introduce legislation that might prevent other would-be citizens from being randomly gunned down.

agree Hain. It appears something has to be done immediately or ships will have to find a safer route.

Good, I was talking to my hubby last night, he is an ex navy nuc. and he was telling me all about how they would get confronted by pirates in the straights of malacca. Subs light will look like a commercial vessel and when they realized what they were they took off. But I remember people telling him 8 years ago "there are no pirates" But there are, not like they have a hook hand and a patch on their eye, but their intent is there. In Malacca they had to have a US naval ship standing watch at all times. i don't understand why this wasn't done in somali waters
