My state is green and it just hit 3.85 a gallon today. Of course, we've got one of the lowest costs of living in the country (so we get paid less money for what we do), so 3.85 for one gallon is getting into the painful category.

Thankfully my city is well below the national average; not long ago we had the cheapest gas in the country. However, with tempertures in the 100s my AC burns through gas in an insane fashion! :(

Ugh. I really should have thought about gas prices when I crossed into CA on my way to San Diego this past weekend. Next time I'll fill up BEFORE I cross the border. :oy:

Yeah, the tiny pic of the map cuts off the fact that the whole state of CA is red, prices are so high.
