Hey guys, I took the first pic of Rush I could find on Getty — Scout's honor.

^ And why should this website be supportive about Rush Limbaugh judging Miss America. It's not like he's been a champion for women and their causes. I think the whole debacle with Miss USA pagent shows us that provocative personalities (i.e. Perez Hilton) shouldn't be part of the contests. But with the ever falling ratings, I can see the allure of trying to inject a little controversy in the program in the hopes of getting people to watch. Then again the whole idea of Miss America is backwards anyways, so I guess you can consider it a safe haven for someone like him.

Cirrus, That picture is waaaaaaaaay old and by using it, it does make it pretty evident that Tres does not prefer him. But hey, then again he is a conservative and Republican so what is new? I think he should take the gig, why not?

You know it's not Rush's age that creeps me out about this, it's the fact that it's Rush at all.. ugh.and the woman arrested for the poke -YAYY! People need to learn that restraining orders are serious, they are not toys or pawns or to be made light of. I've seen too many people have restraining orders put on someone and then they themselves go and contact that person they've asked the pollice to protect them from. It makes a mockery of the system and when people really need the restraining order then nobody takes them seriously. So I'm glad that someone finally took it seriously. I know it seems extreme in this case, but the order very clearly stated no contact in any way shape or form.

(Sorry. Got so amused that I forgot to read all the comments. :)) Spacekat-I agree with you here a bit. I never understood the use of celebrity judges that have no idea what the whole pageant system entails. For something this important, I would want somebody who was a pageant professional in some aspect or another. They apparently really want him for this gig. So much so, that pageant officials were willing to work around his broadcast schedule. There was quite a spirited debate on his show, concerning whether or not to accept the invitation. I think he should, but I don't know if he made the decision. (I must also respectfully take issue with the picture that was used. That's an old one. He's lost about 80 pounds and looks 100 times better. Even The Frisky used a current picture, and I'm sure the story's author really despises him. Just saying.)

...or perhaps as absurd as a gay man judging how beautiful a group of women are?

Well I guess if Perez Hilton can be a judge why not El Rushbo?
