Handle This: You're Not Sure What Your Status Is

Handle This: You're Not Sure What Your Status Is

You have some serious feelings that are only continuing to grow for a man you’ve been on a few dates with. But every time things seem to heat up, he backs off. He's an amazing guy, and you really want things to work out, but you’re afraid he may not be feeling the same thing you are and it seems too early to bring up status issues.

When he calls to ask you out after he hasn't contacted you for two weeks, you’ve hit your limit. You could say something or just walk away, so how would you handle this?

If he went 2 weeks without calling, he obviously isn't that interested and nothing better came along so he rang her up. I say cut your losses and find someone who IS interested.

Yeah, he isn't ready for anything serious so I would just stay away.

Leetlehales, I'm on a same boat. I see nothing wrong with texting. Anyways, with my situation, I have been confused and wondering where it was leading to, but I have decided not to rush it anymore. Regarding the situation above, 2 weeks is such a long time to ignore someone. The guy is obviously not interested. Move on, and don't waste time on someone who obviously doesn't feel the same way.

i'm totally in a similar situation. i've been dating a guy for 2 months-- he's handsome, smart, funny.. we get along GREAT. we usually hang out once during the work week, and once on the weekend due to our busy schedules, but i'm totally insecure and unsettled on where we stand! i'm not dating anyone else and i know that he's spending his free time with me. i hate having "talks" with him because it makes me feel like i'm bringing up drama. he never calls to say hi, and if he wants to hang out, he'll text. is that weird? i can't decide if i want to move on or if he's worth the wait. sighhhhhhhh.

I have to agree with Clarby. If you've got questions it's better to spit them out then sit on them hoping answers will magically appear.

I don't think it's too early to ask him what's up. If you like him find out what's going on. Maybe there is something going on you don't know about or maybe they are thinking the same things, but you won't know unless you ask. And if you feel you deserve more and that this is in actuality a game to him then get out if you feel he is playing with your heart. It's not a fun place to be. But the longer things go without being brought up when you want an answer the harder things will get on you.

I'd prob. drop him and not waste any more of my time waiting around to get something that's not going to happen.

i think i'd cut my losses & save myself the heartache. if a guy i really liked made it plainly obvious that he just wasn't that into me (not calling for two weeks & backing off) then i'm not going to try to convince him to be with me by jumping at the chance to hang out with him again. i'd move on to find someone who wanted to be with me as much as i wanted to be with them.

Hmm, he hasn't called for two weeks, and he backs off every time things seem to heat up... He's clearly not ready for anything serious just yet. I'd continue to hang out with him casually and forget any thoughts of moving foward in the relationship just yet. With time things progress naturally, and then he'll make it clear if he feels the same way.
