Honey Monster in a Sugar Puffs Ad

I Suddenly Lost My Appetite

Honey Monster is the face of Sugar Puffs, a brand of cereal sold in the UK, and I'm just not buying how this dude is marketable. He's big, burly, and sounds like he has a relentless case of indigestion — yum! As this commercial demonstrates, he can sit down to breakfast and get his crimp on, but he doesn't have the courtesy to clear his throat. Not once. And this somehow sells cereal?

I don't like the commercial and I'm not fond of the hairy, yellow monster. Plus, they stole crimping from The Migthy Boosh.

I guess the weird but funny monster is supposed to attract consumers' attention, therefore it is a good marketing technique? You could relate it to the creepy BK guy. I like this monster more, though; he's not as scary as the BK king.
