I work at Wal-Mart and I'm afraid of losing my job. I've already overslept twice this week and today it happened again. I had a stomachache and couldn't get out of bed. My manager keeps telling me that it's ok, but I know that's wrong and irresponsible. I am 29 years old and I feel embarrassed that I can't break this pattern. It's not funny anymore that I oversleep. Get yourself an alarm at Wal-Mart and use it. Go to sleep earlier than you normally do. Maybe you aren't getting enough rest. Once you hear your alarm sound off in the morning, get out of bed and start getting ready for work. Don't hit snooze and don't lie around - you're bound to risk drifting back to sleep. Do everything you can to make the process of getting out of the house easier in the morning. Try showering and washing your hair the night before and laying your clothes out before you go to sleep at night. Do you live alone? If not, ask someone to make sure you are up.
