A food festival in Tehran took a stab at creating the world's largest sandwich for the Guinness Book of World Records. Somebody cue the uh-oh music because the spectators ate it before the Guinness reps got a chance to measure it. The nearly mile-long sando was made from hundreds of loaves of bread and a ton of ostrich meat (I hear it tastes like beef), but the crowd mauled it within a matter of minutes. The UK Times has the scoop. I feel kind of bad for the organizers, but they were asking for it — making it in public at lunchtime. I totally would have been all over that bad boy, too, if I'd been there!
