Iraq: Electricity Production Up Over 10 Percent

Iraqi authorities have taken advantage of the recent decline in violence to repair damaged power stations and begin building new infrastructure, Brig. Carew Wilks said at a news conference in Baghdad's Green Zone.

Sounds good but some homes in Baghdad still get only 3-4 hours of electricity a day, the average in the city is 10 hours. Can you imagine any of us living without electricity 14 hours a day? No fans in the heat, no radio or t.v. for information?
