Jon Stewart Thinks Rick Santelli and CNBC Are Losers

Last night Jon Stewart treated CNBC host Rick Santelli to an eight-minute-plus verbal/video smack down. A while back Santelli stood up for Wall Street when he said Americans don't want to bail out loser homeowners. Upset that Santelli canceled on the Daily Show, Jon gave CNBC the hypocrisy montage treatment, showing how the network's advice proved to be wrong over and over again. Jon said, "If I'd only followed CNBC's advice, I'd have a million dollars today — provided that I started with a hundred million dollars."

The thing i love about John Stewart is that because he's "comedy" he can actually say a lot of stuff that other people are too afraid to say. I love watching him call out people like this in the name of comdey.

I think Stewart lost site of Santelli's point for the benefit of "comedy". Economists and money managers left and right, on CNN and CNBC, all said that things were great from 2006 until the bitter end. The only one that got it right was Peter Schiffhttp://lipskip.com/peter-schiff-was-right-all-along/Anyway, Santelli's rant was correct even if he had been wrong in the past.

I enjoyed that one. Almost as much as I enjoyed A Party In Limbaugh.

From what I've been reading about Santelli and the tea parties, it's a well-deserved smackdown. I just saw Jon with Sandra Day O'Connor last night: that was a great interview!

Santelli needs to learn how to place his modifiers a bit better.
