"One of the rumors is that we sold the television rights for millions of dollars. Not true," Kris Jenner said this morning on the Today show. She continued, "That we profited or she profited from the wedding. Absolutely false." Kim Kardashian's mother was defending her daughter on national TV after Kim filed for divorce 72 days after saying "I do." Kris was responding to rumors that the televised, over the top wedding was just a ploy to make money. She shot that idea down, saying, "They made some money for the pictures that were sold and things like that, but at the end of the day that money went toward the wedding and Kim had to pay a great deal of money, you know, the balance that was owed for the wedding, which she was delighted to do because that was her fairy-tale wedding." Kris also said that Kim's massive engagement ring didn't cost $2 million. The Kardashian-brand matriarch had conveniently scheduled appearances to promote her new book.
