"Anytime I hear that somebody’s really rich," explains Kristen Stewart, "the first question is 'Do you do anything with it?'"
The actress — who tells Vogue she's been endowed with "public recognition on a fu*king seriously vast level," along with "like, funds" — says she hopes she can do something important with the money she's made. Inspired by her role in Welcome to the Rileys, Kristen hopes to one day open halfway houses to help sex workers get back on their feet. She says, "That would be amazing. Right now it's the thing I feel most connected to."
In Welcome to the Rileys, Kristen plays a teenage stripper. For the role she visited strip clubs (where she was offered a job) and read books on the trade, growing a connection to women who sell themselves for sex. During promotion for the movie, she said the role had a more than normal effect on her.
Would you be surprised if Kristen started a charity for sex workers?
