Brides with a bookish side will love the library details in this Missouri big day. Kyle and Kira's vintage wedding took place at a historic venue in the heart of Springfield, MO. Photographer Regina Richards notes, "After having lived apart for an entire year, due to work-related circumstances, Kyle and Kira's wedding day was a true celebration of their union together." Bride Kira tells us more about their wedding:
"Once we picked out our venue, it felt right to have a bit of a vintage feel. Since we got married in the Spring, I also wanted to use a lot of greens to make things feel natural. Additionally, we ended up getting literary-themed invitations and save-the-dates and carried that into our day. Because of all of that, we ended up using lots of old jars, books, lace, and green ribbon to decorate. Ultimately, I really wanted our wedding to feel laid-back but with special touches that would represent us. My best friend's mom is an artist, and she made amazing chalkboard signs to decorate and to tell guests where to go. We also chose food that represented each of our hometowns and picked wedding numbers that all had some kind of significance to our relationship."
"I loved the moment that I first walked into the venue. It was the first time that I got to see everything that I had been imagining for the past year come together, and it was amazing! Walking into the venue was the first time that day that everything felt real, and the first time (of many) that I had to hold back tears. I also loved the moments immediately following the ceremony. Kyle and I went outside to have a minute just to the two of us. It was great to have that moment of calm before the insanity of pictures and the reception. Once we came back in, we were greeted by our families and wedding party. We all hugged each other and cried, and it felt great to see how happy everyone was for us!"
