Macho Men in Action Movies

Do You Like Your Men Strong or Slim?

It's Summer blockbuster time, which means superheros and action stars are stomping, swinging, and flying into a theater near you. And as The Daily Beast points out, the leading men are beefier than ever, with meaty Jason Momoa in Conan the Barbarian, a bulked-up Chris Evans in Captain America: The First Avenger, and Chris Hemsworth and his bulging biceps costarring in Thor. But personally, these macho action stars are just meh to me, I'm more interested in next year's slimmer superheroes, like Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man) and Henry Cavill (Superman). What do you think? Are you more attracted to a guy who could pick you up without breaking a sweat, or a fella on the smaller side?

I would say neither....I don't like guys that look like juice heads or skinny guys. A guy who looks semi slender but is strong at the same time is good. I don't like twiggies but I guess would lean toward slim as long as they are capable of picking up heavy stuff. A little muscle is ok but those huge things gross, just looks fake.

As someone who's not a small girl, I don't want someone who I could crush with my thighs. I've dated "slim" guys and it always felt like that scene in "Road Trip" with DJ Qualls and Mia Amber Davis.

I wouldn't consider my man "beefy" but he's definitely strong! At 6'8'' and close to 300 lbs, he's all man and all mine :)

Of the two, I'll always go with slim over beefy. I've dated people who are tall, short, chubby, and skinny, so it doesn't matter to me much. With that said, I really like the way my beau is built: fit, lean, muscular but not ripped. He's slim, but also strong. I view it as icing on the cake because he is just the wittiest, kindest man. Him looking the way he does is just a bonus.

I'd rather have a slightly overweight guy that has the strength to do anything than a guy that looks weaker than me and would need my help to do the heavy lifting.

How about someone in between? I agree with Cris1192 about not wanting a Jersey Shore type, but I don't exactly want a guy that looks like he's slimmer/weaker than me.

slim, I can't stand the jersey shore type

Well I like my men not obese. But if I had to pick one just for sex, regardless of personality, it would be strong for sure.

As a tall woman (5'9) I need a strong tall man! I agree with the above poster, Henry Cavill is a dream, no matter how he looks. But I also think Jason Momoa is gorgeous (maybe not in the above picture...) but yeah. Stronger/more solid men all the way!

Hate to break it to you, but have you seen Henry Cavill lately? He is RIPPED - he's playing the Greek warrior Theseus in the film Immortals (due out this November) and got jacked as all hell to play the part. I'm seriously in love with him, slim or built.
